Electromechanical Switches DC to 40 GHz
Fairview Microwave’s electromechanical switches exhibit extremely low insertion loss repeatability with guaranteed levels of 0.03 to 0.05 dB over 5 to 10 million switching cycles, depending on the model. Performance includes low insertion loss of 0.3 dB with high isolation of 100 dB typical, and input power ratings of up to 70 watts CW and up to 1 watt for hot switching applications. These switches cover broadband frequencies from DC to 40 GHz and are offered in three configurations: single-pole double-throw (SPDT), single-pole four-throw (SP4T) and single-pole six-throw (SP6T).

E & W-Band PIN Diode Waveguide Switches
Fairview Microwave’s single-pole single-throw (SPST) and double-pole double-throw (DPDT) PIN diode waveguide switches feature fully integrated WR-10 and WR-12 waveguide ports and cover popular E-band (60 to 90 GHz) and W-band (75 to 110 GHz) frequencies. Switch circuits integrate low loss Fin-line assemblies with high performance GaAs beam-lead diodes that results in 4 dB insertion loss, greater than 25 dB of Isolation and fast switching speed < 300 nsec.

High-Performance USB-Controlled PLL Synthesizers
Rugged, SMA-connectorized designs that support a USB 2.0 interface with a PC supplying DC power and GUI command control. They cover a broad range of frequency bands from 25 MHz to 27 GHz. These USB-Controlled PLL Synthesizers deliver output attenuation that is adjustable up to 50 dB in 1 dB steps and high output power levels ranging from +10 dBm to +19 dBm typical. Phase noise is as low as -108 dBc/Hz at 100 MHz offset and phase locked speed is 1 msec typical.

High Speed End Launch Connectors
Fairview Microwave’s high-speed end launch connectors are comprised of four models that provide VSWR as low as 1.10:1 and a maximum operating frequency of 40 to 110 GHz, depending on the model. These end launch connectors are reusable, don’t require any soldering and have a compact profile with a 0.350-inch mounting width and a 0.005-inch launch pin. FMWGN1001 is a K Band Waveguide Gunn Oscillator with a Center Frequency of 24.125 GHz and a Tuning Range of +/- 1.0 GHz. Low PIM Cable Assemblies
Low-PIM jumper cables feature a maximum PIM level of -155 dBc and are made with UL910 plenum-rated SPP-250-LLPL cable. The PIM levels of each cable have been fully tested with the results of those tests marked on each cable. These Low-PIM cables boast a maximum operating frequency of 6 GHz and a maximum VSWR of 1.25:1 up to 2 GHz and 1.35:1 up to 6 GHz. Open-Short-Load RF calibration kits from Fairview Microwave are available with Type N or 7/16 DIN connectors. Type N open-short-load RF calibration kits have male or female genders, 7/16 DIN open-short-load kits are male gender. Type N open-short-load (OSL) calibration kits for RF have a minimum frequency of 0 (DC) and a maximum frequency range between 4 GHz and 6 GHz. Type N open short load kits for calibration have a maximum power handling of between 1 Watt and 2 Watts.

Fairview Microwave’s line of phase stable RF analyzer cables consists of 19 models designed to deliver optimal amplitude and phase stability with flexure. Semi-Rigid Test Probes Up to 6 GHz
Fairview Microwave’s semi-rigid test probe assemblies come in multiple cable diameters to help when attaching the unterminated end of the probe to a circuit board trace. There are two versions including straight-cut probe ends for those that would like to customize the dimensions of the center conductor and dielectric dimensions, as well as pre-stripped probe ends that are ready for immediate use. By soldering the outer conductor to the signal ground and the exposed center conductor to the trace carrying the signal of interest, simple sampling measurements can be made without having to create a separate subassembly circuit board or add a connector to the circuit layout which can take up valuable real estate. Fairview provides 3 diameters of semi-rigid coax and 3 different lengths from 3 inches to 12 inches to fit a variety of trace widths and applications. All test probes are 100% RF tested to ensure the cable assemblies operate to 6 GHz and also to make sure that the SMA connector interface meets the 1.35:1 VSWR specification prior to shipping. To protect the small diameter coax from damage, each part is shipped in a clear protective tube that can also be used for storing the probes for future use.

Solid State GaN (Gallium Nitride) Amplifiers
Fairview Microwave’s solid state GaN (Gallium Nitride) power amplifiers (also called SSPAs) feature broad frequency bands ranging from 30 MHz to 7.5 GHz and very high gain levels from 43 to 60 dB. These GaN SSPAs also show impressive harmonic response (-15 to -20 dBc) under worst case conditions. Saturated output power levels range from 10W to 100W with 20% to 35% Power Added Efficiency (PAE). All of our high power solid state GaN amplifiers from Fairview have internally regulated single voltage supplies. Our GaN SSPAs are designed to withstand environmental conditions such as humidity, altitude, shock and vibration with an operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +85°C. Some models are also equipped with integrated heat sinks and cooling fans. Most designs are EAR99.

SPDT PIN Diode Switches
Fairview offers a comprehensive selection of 23 different models of SPDT PIN diode switches that cover frequencies ranging from 10 MHz to 67 GHz. The high isolation levels up to 80 dB ensure that unwanted signals will not leak into the desired signal path. Other critical performance features include low insertion loss as low as 1.1 dB and fast switching speed performance as low as 50 nanoseconds. Both absorptive and reflective designs are available and every model utilizes integrated TTL compatible high speed driver logic circuitry. These SPDT switches are constructed using MIL-Grade rugged coaxial packages and several models support field replaceable connectors. All models are EAR99.
