Package Testing
Lansmont package testing equipment is designed to perform industry standards, such as ASTM, ISTA, ISO, EUMOS and others. Our equipment is compliant with all of the most common ASTM and ISTA package testing procedures. There are individual standards that specifically reference how to perform drop testing, compression testing, side impact testing and vibration testing. In addition to those standards, there are groups of procedures referred to as distribution simulation tests, which incorporate some strategic combination of testing inputs, with the idea of simulating a typical journey through the supply chain. Some of the most common distribution simulation standards that are performed globally are published by ASTM and ISTA.

Inclined Impact Testers
Inclined impact testing simulates environmental dynamic forces that packaged goods may endure throughout transport and handling operations. These hazardous dynamics are simulated using impact test systems. Inclined impact test systems utilize a carriage that propels the test sample down a ramp at predetermined velocities before impacting into a fixed backstop. The specimen’s reaction to these extreme conditions indicates how the product would fare in real-world supply chain settings, allowing design engineers to make improvements to either the product and/or the protective packaging as needed.

Load Stability Tester
TruMotion™ Acceleration
When transport vehicles accelerate, turn or brake, the resulting low-frequency accelerations can cause unit loads to shift. Due to both safety issues and potential product damage/waste, regulatory bodies are requiring testing that’s closer to reality – assuring safe and stable unit load integrity!

Drop Testers
This process is vital for ensuring that products travel to customers safely and securely, eventually arriving damage free. In turn, drop test systems help companies save money and maintain positive brand-owner reputations by helping to design packaged products that will deliver products with their intended inherent quality intact. Lansmont Drop Test Systems are the gold standard for accurate and repeatable drop testing. Every drop tester we manufacture is factory-tested to ensure it meets flatness-of-drop requirements and exceeds industry specifications.

Instruments
Monitoring applications record and log only those key events when user-defined threshold criteria are exceeded. These applications are valuable when users have established “not-to-exceed” event amplitudes associated with their products and cargo.
