    MACOM’s hybrid mixers are widely used in aerospace and defense, wireless, test and measurements applications, and broadband communications applications. We offer a variety of connectorized, flat pack, drop-in, and surface mount packages with a broad range of operating frequency ranges and performance specifications. Our mixer products are available in subsets of the frequency range such as RF and LO: 50 kHz to 24 GHz and IF: DC to 8 GHz. These mixers leverage a variety of technologies such as GaAs pHEMT and Silicon HMIC and are available in double and triple balanced designs.     At MACOM we design, manufacture, and support a range of low noise amplifiers for RF, microwave, and millimeter wave applications. The low noise amplifiers cover a frequency range of 20 MHz to 86 GHz operation for a wide range of applications, including network infrastructure, radar and communication systems. A broad array of noise figures, input IP3, and input power are available, and some of the products use a self-biased topology. Our Power amplifiers cover 40 KHz to 90 GHz operation for a wide range of both linear and saturated applications, including network infrastructure, radar, test and measurement and communication systems. Many of the power amplifiers include an on-chip temperature-compensated detector. Power amplifiers offer power up to 15W of power and are offered in a variety of package types for different applications.

  • Broadband Darlington Amplifier

    The MAAM-011206 is a versatile, DC - 15 GHz, Darlington amplifier, with 14.5 dB typical gain and 20.5 dBm of output power at maximum current. The input and output are fully matched to 50 O with typical return loss >15 dB. Third order linearity (OIP3) is typically 29 dBm and reverse isolation is >21 dB. Functional operation is achieved with a single bias voltage VDD, from +3 V to +5 V.

  • Broadband Low Noise Amplifier

    The MAAM-011229 is a broadband high dynamic range, single stage MMIC LNA assembled in a leadfree 2 mm 8 Lead PDFN plastic package. The amplifier is internally matched to provide flat gain and excellent return losses to 3.25 GHz without any external matching components. Use of external matching could extend usable frequency range beyond 4 GHz. This low noise amplifier has an integrated active bias circuit allowing direct connection to 3 V or 5 V bias and minimizing variations over temperature and process. The bias current can be adjusted with an optional external resistor, so the user can customize the power consumption to fit the application. IADJ pin can be utilized as an enable pin to power the device up and down during operation.

    Packaged High Power 26-40GHz Reflective SPDT PIN Switch. The MASW-011098 is a high power SPDT packaged in 5 x 5 mm laminate package. This broadband, reflective, high linearity, SPDT switch was developed for applications in the 26 - 40 GHz frequency range that require up to 7 W of power handling while maintaining low insertion loss and high isolation. The SPDT MMIC utilizes MACOM’s proven AlGaAs PIN diode technology.
