CCM19001 - Teledyne Microwave Solutions
The CCM19001 is a Differential Drive Digital QPSK (Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) modulator operating across the 17.0 to 19.0 GHz frequency range. The modulator utilizes differential drive digital inputs (180º apart) to drive both of the bi-phase modulators (mixers) integrated into the assembly. The modulator is a combination of a matched pair bi-phase modulators, which are in quadrature (90º) to each other. It is modulated by switching polarities of the DC voltage controls in 4 different logic states ("0,0", "0,1", "1,0" & "1,1") for 4 phase states. The QPSK modulator provides constant amplitude, 90º vector: 0 (ref.), 90º, 180º, 270º and operates across the -55º to 85º C temperature range.

Teledyne Microwave Solutions
Teledyne RF & Micrrowave's Six Channel 2 - 18 GHz (RF and LO) downconverter operates with an IF of ~960 MHz, providing 25 dB of RF-IF gain, and bandwidth of ~500 MHz. This downconverter operates on a single LO at -6 dBm which is amplified, split, then again amplified to each of the 6 channels. Integrated into each channel is a range extension switch, controlled by a TTL input and adding 20 dB attenuation. Noise figure is ~ 13.5 dB and output IP3 is ~+25 dBm. The downconverter is 2- sided, hermetically sealed and designed for rugged applications.

CCM3072 - Teledyne Microwave Solutions
The CCM3072 is single input three output limiting amplifier operating at 3072 MHz. The input power range is from -10 to 0 dBm with an output at +7 dBm and two at +1 dBm. The output power change due input power range, temperature (-20° to 85° C) and voltage variation is ~ +/-0.8 dB. Input and output VSWR are all <1.2:1. Incorporated into the design is a narrow band pass filter between the amplifiers and power splitter to reject spurious input signals and reduce harmonic outputs. This limiting amplifier is being built for stringent space applications.

IFMs find applications in low cost radar warning receivers (RWR) to enhance the identification of threat signals against dense non threat background signals. IFMs are used in sophisticated electronic support measurement (ESM) and electronic counter measurement (ECM) receivers where high probability of intercept and high resolution are required to enable pulse by pulse signal de-interleaving. TDS’s IFMs employ proprietary 3 phase correlator design which combines the advantages of a robust and compact suspended substrate strip-line (SSS) construction and microwave Integrated circuit (MIC) techniques.

Combline filters are bandpass filters used in the frequency range of 100MHz to 20GHz The structure consists of a series of TEM resonators of circular or rectangular cross-section resonated by a capacitor at the open circuit end. The bandwidth and response of the filter is governed by the coupling of each resonator to its immediate neighbor. This is also a function of the resonator size, resonator spacing and ground plane separation. Typical construction is silver-plated aluminum, which achieves the lowest passband loss while maintaining a light weight. Computer design programs result in close correlation between theoretical and actual performance.
