  • Flexible Magnetic Coupler

    The FMC (Flexible Magnetic Coupler) is a partial discharge sensor whose working principle is based on a direct magnetic coupling with the cable conductor and shield.It picks up a magnetic signal given by PD activity. His compact and robust design makes the FMC the optimal sensor for direct installation on cables and accessories such as joints and termination.This sensor has a sensitive side which has to face to the object under test, while the other side (shielded) reject the noise from the environment.

  • High Frequency Current Transformer

    Techimp Clamp High Frequency Current Transformer model 140 is an inductive sensor for partial discharge measurements. It is suitable for online /off line PD tests on : large diameter cables ; grounding rod bar ; etc. A TNC termination is available to connect the Clamp HFCT 140 to the TechImp PD analyzer : PDCheck , PDBase etc. The arrow indicates the requested input current (Iin) direction to get coherent output voltage (Vout) polarity respect to ground. When the sensor is installed with the arrow directed to ground, the detected voltage signal (Vout) has the same phase of the input current (Iin).

  • NLFA Notch

    The NLFA is a multiple element device allowing several useful field configurations. The three internal elements,one low frequency amplifier, two notch amplifier each with the cut off freq. of 50Hz (or 60Hz for a specific version) can be used as independent ones or combined together to increase the notch function. The effect of the cascade of two notches is the increasing of the signal attenuation for the notch frequency.

    PPS2 provides power supply to the PD detectors installed on HV cable when low voltage AC power is not available. The PPS2 takes the required power directly from the High Voltage power line under monitoring by means of units clamped on the HV power cable(s).PPS2 is designed to withstand High Voltage line failure events such as temporary overload and short circuit conditions. An internal detection and self limiting circuitry guarantees that PPS2 and the connected equipment survives in case of such events.

  • Tap Adapter

    Techimp Voltage Tap Adapter is gender changer which allows the user to connect to the test tap (sometimes called power factor tap) of high voltage transformer bushings.While keeping the test tap well below the safety voltage level required by the manufacturer, the Tap Adapter lets the user to drain high frequency PD signals for diagnostic assessment of insulating materials.A synchronization signal can be derived as well.It is suitable for both single shot as well as continuous PD monitoring.Although it must be customized on the basis of the shape and dimension of the test tap (to be provided by the Customer), many models are readily available for the most established transformer bushings.   • Qualification and Quality Control Tests

    New IEC standards, IEC 60034-18-41 and IEC 60034-18-42, have been issued to define the procedures for testing partial discharge inception voltage and the long-term performance (endurance) of Type I and Type II insulation systems used in rotating machines fed from voltage converters. Voltage impulse generators are required at least to test turn insulation, but they would be recommended for any testing under power electronics supply because of their capability to simulate the real electrical stress conditions. More generally, any type of electrical insulation system when subject to impulsive voltage waveform during life should be carefully evaluated in terms of partial discharge and endurance behaviour. This is why voltage impulse generators able to provide impulses with controlled amplitude and frequency are needed to face this new testing challenge.
