Partial Discharge testing is a way of detecting voids or imperfections in insulators that would lead to overheating and breakdown under normal operating conditions. Due to the nature of the signal being measured, this test is very susceptible to electronic and RF noise and a proper corona-free properly isolated test chamber is required.

We have integrated the actual high pressure controls, valving and instrumentation into a control system that provides tightly controlled pressure and speed regulation. We also provide a test control system that is fully configurable to run multiple types and sizes of seals and can run any pre-configured test with a level of repeatability that allows test to be started on one rig, finished on another rig and reviewed and reported on a third rig.

This system is a modern replacement for an obsolete product tester. This tester Hipots the lamp under test, checks for proper operation at the required voltage and also detects short circuit operation and the 5KV ignitor pulse signal. This tester allows for quick calibration to permit traceable/repeatable results and store the test results for product tracking.
