Measuring Management
Our test equipment is more than a test-set with a screen. Our application software provides an integrated tool to easily store the measurements at different stages and create a log of what we have done. Each measurement stores all data and settings, including display, markers and calibration.

Measuring Small Antennas
If you have a small PCB with a small antenna you can't use a thick cable and a large connector. Not only is this impractical (how to connect the connector?) but the metal bulk will also affect the antenna and grounding properties of your PCB. The measurement will be useless. MegiQ promotes the use of the small and popular UFL connector and its associated cables. The UFL socket fits on almost any PCB and it can be improvised on a board without a UFL footprint.

Radiated Power Measurement
One of the most important properties of a wireless device is how much it actually radiates, how efficient is the antenna.This is typically measured in an anechoic chamber (at an expensive test lab). Another, time-consuming and inaccurate, method is by walking around in a free field and test the communication distance.

UFL Measurement
Many of the well known VNA manufacturors offer very expensive calibration kits and special phase-stable cables (which costs almost as much a MegiQ VNA) for measuring impedances. This is useful for some special scientific measurements, or when working in the higher GHz, but a setup with an uncooperative cable and a bulky (N) connector is not suited for measuring the small devices that we are developing.
