Space Flight Components
A tec, Inc. specializes in the design, manufacture, and integration of complex test systems and quality critical components. Our production engineering expertise separates us from other manufacturing companies when both reliability and cost are important. Atec has the best in 5 to 9 Axis CNC machining, coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), 3D additive metal and plastic printers, 9-Axis capable waterjet, cryogenic liquid flow test benches and environmental test chambers. We can deliver to the tightest tolerances and most exacting requirements. We can advise our customers on electron beam welding, friction joining, electronic test, environmental test, acoustics, vibration and many other technologies that can reduce manufacturing and operating costs. We are currently manufacturing liquid rocket engine fuel and oxidizer valves for multiple launch vehicles and have participated in 158 consecutive launch successes. Atec manufactured and tested advanced lithium-ion battery adapter plates that manage power for the International Space Station. Atec is designing, manufacturing, and testing power flow modules that work to prevent system failure on the human crew capsule (CCTS) that will transport astronauts to/from the ISS. Engine Test Adapters
Atec has built test adapters for a wide variety of engines from high bypass fan engines to small APU engines. Testing a new engine type in your existing jet engine test cell can be challenging, and upgrade modifications will be needed. Atec does not view an adapter as just a mechanical weldment that simply mates the engine to the aeroengine thrust stand. Our engineers realize that additional items will be needed in the facility to insure total project success. During the planning phase, Atec engineers can visit your existing facility and/or review videos to make a comprehensive assessment of the integration needed to add a new engine type to your testing facility. Atec can perform airflow, acoustics, FEA and sub systems analyses to ensure that any new engine added to your jet engine test cell will have the proper capacity to perform properly. Atec has made test equipment throughout all of its 65-year history. Test benches for aerospace and energy uses represent a significant segment of our experience. Atec has produced test benches involving hydraulics, mechanicals, electromechanicals, electronics, pneumatics, motors, and digital automation. Atec test benches have performed for challenging measurements, factory production, problem analysis and component overhaul scenarios. Today, complex test benches have capable data acquisition, control and communication systems integral in their electronics. ADAQ Data Systems
Atec’s Data Acquisition and Control System (ADAQ™) is a modern, full-featured, highly integrated hardware and software solution that is applicable for use with most commercial and military turbine engine test cell applications. Built upon National Instruments’ respected LabVIEW platform, ADAQ™ is robust, versatile, user friendly, and specifically designed to handle the demanding requirements of engine testing. It links seamlessly to digital engine modules (FADECs, DEECs, EECs, ECUs) as well as legacy analog and mechanical controls. Users can create, remove, calibrate and display channels, as well as generate custom calculations, screens and reports.
