Detector Modules
Detector modules, into which the entire drive electronics have been integrated, were developed to facilitate the application of detectors. PIN modules and APD modules are available along with intelligent sensors which are – thanks to their interfaces – ready for application in Industry 4.0.

IR Detectors
IR detectors have been a part of our standard product range at LASER COMPONENTS for almost three decades. A distinction is made between sensors for the near infrared range (NIR) from 1.0 µm to 2.5 µm and those for the mid-infrared range (MIR) above 2.5 µm. IR detectors of all modes of operation are a part of our product portfolio and leave nothing to be desired.

IR-Emitters
Our IR emitters are almost exclusively used in chemical analysis. There is a distinction to be made between broadband and narrow-band emitters. Planck’s emitters are broadbanded, whereas IR lasers are narrow banded.

Laser Diodes
Our laser diode portfolio is broad, extending from cw laser diodes to pulsed laser diodes to high-power laser diodes. For special areas of application VCSELs and quantum cascade lasers are also included in our range of products.

Laser Modules
Available under the brand name FLEXPOINT®, our laser modules are produced in house, making it possible for us to create almost any design and customer-specific housings. An in-house series for use in digital image processing is also available.

Photodiodes
Avalanche
Similar to photomultipliers, avalanche photodiodes are used to detect extremely weak light intensities. Si APDs are used in the wavelength range from 250 to 1100 nm, and InGaAs is used as semiconductor material in APDs for the wavelength range from 1100 to 1700 nm.

Pyroelectric Detectors
Pyroelectric detectors are thermal detectors; i.e. they create an electric signal due to temperature changes in the chip. This temperature change is caused by absorption of light. We do use LiTaO3 and DLaTGS as pyroelectric materials. Basically such detectors cover the whole spectra. However, they are mainly used for mid-wave and long-wave infrared detection (MWIR and LWIR). In addition, the usage in the THz region seems to become more popular these days.

Single Photon Counting Modules
Single photon counting modules. So-called single photon counting modules are used to count single photons. These photon counters, sold under the brand name COUNT®, offer phenomenally low dark count rates with the best low noise characteristics.

Polarizers
Achieves high contrast and high transmission for the UV, VIS, NIR, and Mid-IR ranges with a wide acceptance angle of ±20°. The prolate silver nano-particles are embedded inside the glass which results in high durability, wide temperature range, and easy cleaning.

PIN Diodes
PIN photodiodes convert light to current – without a bias voltage having to be applied. Silicon is commonly used as an inexpensive detector material in the Vis range. For higher demands, InGaAs is used; it covers the widest spectral range from the Vis to the NIR. We offer silicon carbide as a “solar-blind” detector specifically for the UV range.

Spatial Light Modulators
Spatial Light Modulators (SLM) are used as adaptive optical elements that modulates light spatially in amplitude or phase. We offer devices that are based on either reflective (LCOS) or translucent (LCD) liquid crystal microdisplays.

Laser Optics
A substrate is developed into a laser optic when it is refined with a dielectric coating. Due to the wide range of possible combinations between the substrate and the coating, one optic seldom resembles another. Contact us directly and together we can design a product to adequately suit your needs.

Precision Alignment Laser Modules
LT-PLM Series
The precision laser diode module of the LT-PLM series features a precise housing from which the laser beam exits at the very center. This eliminates any beam angle error. The module can be operated without safety eye wear and is therefore suitable for all sorts of alignment tasks: whether machines have to be aligned to each other. the thorn inside a turning lathe needs to be centered.
