The PAS 9796/DIO is a VME based, 160 Channel, TTL level, Digital Input / Output card. One hundred twenty-eight of the channels are arranged as 16 byte wide bi-directional data ports. Each port consists of an eight-bit output data register with output enable, and an eight bit input buffer.

The PAS 9797/DIO is a VME based, 160 Channel, TTL level, Digital Input / Output card. One hundred twenty eight channels are arranged as sixteen, byte wide bi-directional data ports. These are the primary data ports and support 32 bit transfers. The remaining thirty two channels are arranged as four byte wide bidirectional data ports. Each port consists of an eight bit output data register with output enable, and an eight bit input buffer.

The PAS 9795/DIO is a VME based, 80 Channel, TTL level, Digital Input / Output card. Sixty-four of the channels are arranged as eight byte wide bi-directional data ports. Each port consists of an eight-bit output data register with output enable, and an eight bit input buffer. The input buffers always monitor the state of the I/O lines, and the output data registers can either drive the I/O lines, or disconnect from the I/O by assuming a high impedance state.

Each channel consists of a high speed Digital to Analog Converter, (DAC), followed by a high power operational amplifier. The output amplifiers are capable of supplying 50 mAmps of current, and will accept power supply voltages up to +/- 100 Volts. The total power dissipated by the amplifiers must be considered for each application to determine if the amplifier will drive the load.

Highspeed voltage output DAC’s, with 6 uSec typical settling times are used on this card .The DAC output signals are available on a 37 pin D connector mounted through the front panel. Two digital output signals are also provided on the output connector.

This card can be used in VME systems with A16, A24, or A32 addressing, and data bus widths of 16 and 32 bits are supported. Jumper plugs are used to configure the width of the address and data buses. Eight high speed Analog to Digital Converters (ADCs) with 3 MHz conversion rates continuously scan the analog input signals, which are connected to a 25 pin D connector mounted through the front panel.
