Mors Smitt Group
Plug-in electronic voltage monitoring relay with optional delay-on and delay-off timer function and four change-over contacts. The delay time is adjustable with a lockable knob (either delay-on or delay-off, the other delay is fixed). The relay can also be supplied with fixed time delays (no knob). The pull-in voltage and drop-out voltage are both adjustable via internal screws. The relay can also be supplied with a fixed pull-in and drop-out voltage. Suitable for monitoring DC voltages.

The 1X serie is comprised of an electromechanical voltage operated relay which is wired across the circuit being monitored. The relay may be ordered to operate in one of four (4) different application modes as described in the Technical Bulletin. The relay is designed for flush mounting utilizing a single 25mm diameter mounting hole which also houses the large LED indicator. Electrical termination is made via four screw terminals on the rear of the case. This terminal block is of a plug in type with integrated retention screws further simplifying installation.

The Automatic Power Control system cuts the incoming power supply to a traction unit for short periods. This is required where power supplied from one part of a power distribution system in separated from another by a neutral section. Its fitment prevents damage to the power distribution system or the vehicle.

‘MSAV is a system to measure high current and high voltage for energy and traction control management, both for new-built and retrofit railway applications’ The international railway market is focused on minimizing the carbon footprint by optimising the use of natural resources and energy. Deregulation of the railway infrastructure requires a different way of working and tools to support new business models in the railway industry the European EN 50463 standard sets new requirements for energy measurement and the calculation of the interoperability cost of rolling stock.

The D-dock system consists of a D-dock Test Block which is put between the existing relay socket and the existing D-U plug-in relay. All 14 relay-pins are wired to the Break-Out Box enabling to connect measuring equipment like multimeters, scope meters or data analyzers to log operations during longer period. This makes fault finding easy. The D-dock fits in tightly packed relay panels and small cabinets. It can operate unattended enabling normal passenger operating service.

Are solid state voltage sensing relays with electromechanical output contacts built in a fully draw out case format. Designed for application on AC & DC voltage systems, these relays are ideally suited to monitor power supply voltage levels wherever high accuracy and reliable, maintenance free operation is essential. All power to operate the relays is derived from the sensed input voltage therefore an auxiliary supply is not required.

All countries in the world have special regulations for testing and approvals of low voltage installations. In many countries these regulations are prescribing installers, inspectors etc. to check the electrical installation periodically. Prescribed tests that need to be performed are:RCD testInsulation resistance testEarth loop impedance testEarth loop resistance test (Rs-test)Earth resistance test

Operating records for overhead power lines reveal that most faults are of a transient nature (e.g. lightning induced) & that service interruptions may be minimized by use of automatic reclosing of circuit breakers. An automatic reclosure of the circuit breaker, after the fault clears, provides improved service continuity & system stability. The 1B230 Series Reclose Relay provides for single or double shot automatic reclosing of circuit breakers, following interruption of supply due to a fault in the system.
