Precession Magnetometers
Proton
GEM offers the most advanced Proton Precession magnetometers available on the market today. Advanced Research and Development, and the release of the v7.0 version have led to a system that delivers the latest technology combined with the classic value of a standard Proton Precession type of system

Scalar Magnetometers
Many magnetic observatories today rely on a combination of scalar, fluxgate and theodolite instruments for obtaining measurements. Research installations engaged in volcanology applications are also using scalar magnetometers for stationary work. GEM?s Overhauser GSM-90 EUROMAG is particularly suited to these applications (and volcanology). This is a standard magnetometer without a display screen that can be operated via computer.

Vector Manetometers
In the past, magnetic observatories relied on a combination of Overhauser, fluxgate and theodolite instruments for obtaining measurements. GEM then introduced the dIdD (delta Inclination / delta Declination) system for high precision results. Now, the dIdD has been enhanced significantly with the development of the Suspended dIdD system

VLF Electromagnetics
VLF surveying relies on radio signals that are broadcast from navigation stations around the world. The principle is that these signals are deflected in certain ways when they pass through conductive ore or water-filled vertical-to-sub-vertial fractures in the earth. By monitoring these deflections, the position and, potentially, size of the target can be determined.

Potassium Magnetometers
The optically pumped Potassium magnetometer / gradiometer / sensor is a technology that is uniquely available to GEM customers ? the result of more than a decade of research and development, and testing. Unlike yesterday?s generation of optically pumped Caesium magnetometers which represent 20 year old technology, the new Potassium system delivers the latest technologies in a choice of two configurations

SuperGrad Gradiometers
GEM?s solution for these types of installations is the Potassium SuperGrad. This special gradiometer is a system based on the Optically Pumped Potassium instrument ? a unique technology that was developed in response to the United States Geological Survey?s need for an ultra-high sensitivity magnetic gradiometer.
