Heraeus Golden 8 infrared emitters are made of high-quality quartz tubes and feature a gold reflector for highest efficiency. Heraeus's unique twin-tube layout (the "Golden 8") gives the emitters a higher radiation density and improved mechanical stability. They are available as short-wave, medium-wave and fast medium-wave infrared emitters. This allows you to choose the optimal wavelength for the material to be heated. Dimensions and filaments are fabricated to meet your requirements.

Hollow cathode lamps (HCL) are discharge lamps designed for use in Atomic Absorption (AA) instruments. They consist of a cathode made from the element of interest, an anode and an inert filler gas contained in a glass envelope. Heraeus offers the widest selection of single- and multielement coded / non-coded in low and high-current, 37 mm and 50 mm lamps in the industry.

QRC® -
Heraeus Noblelight GmbH
The QRC infrared emitter is continuously being developed further. A new development involves QRC emitters that can be precisely shaped to the contours of a product. In this way, the heat is guided directly to edges, burrs or corners - ideal for deburring or welding of three-dimensional plastic products.

Infrared emitters are precisely adjusted to the product and process. This is important because the properties of the products have a major influence on the heating. Flat sheets or solid blocks heat up at different rates. High-gloss metals reflect very strongly, while dark surfaces absorb the heat very well. Medium-wave emitters dry faster on the surface, while short-wave emitters penetrate deeper.

Heraeus has many years of experience in providing DC pulsed flash lamp (Xenon, Krypton) to leading solid-state laser manufacturers and non-laser applications like IPL or sun simulation. Heraeus flash lamps normally operate at high average powers with pulse duration from the millisecond regime and repetition rate up to many kilohertz. Heraeus lamps offer high efficiency, stability and long lifetimes.

In most cases, Flash lamps require a trigger pulse for the initial ionisation of the gas. This pulse is usually in the order of 20 – 30 kV with a pulse width of a few microseconds. In the case of pulse lamps without a simmer supply, the lamp needs to be triggered for every pulse. Simmered pulse lamps and CW lamps are only triggered when the lamp is switched on.Heraeus Noblelight offers quality transformers for external triggering of lamps.

Heraeus has designed a series of tungsten halogen lamps (TH) specifically for use in analytical applications. Special quartz envelopes enable high transmission below 380 nm and the position of the tungsten filament is closely controlled through precise alignment. The lamps offer high colour temperature, luminous efficacy and long life. TH lamps are filled with a halogen gas mixture specific to their final application and range from 5 W – 200 W, with typical lifetimes of more than 2,000 hours. Lamps can be designed and built according to OEMs specific requirements, such as colour temperature, voltage, wattage and mechanical tolerances. Each lamp fit for purpose, ready finished to drop into the instrument. No pre-selection required.
