ACM Instruments
ACM Instruments was founded in the Summer of 1985. Using a common background of physics and electrochemistry at UMIST John and Ray Gill (having designed electronic warfare solutions at Racal) formed Applied Corrosion Monitoring Ltd. Initial products were manual potentiostats and ZRAs generally acknowledged to be less easy to perfect than computer controlled equipment (where a trims file can hide a multitude of sins) and established our reputation in the precision end of the market.

Galvanostat and Zero Resistance Ammeter
This instrument offers a Potentiostat, Galvanostat and Zero Resistance Ammeter with integrated Frequency Response Analyser and Sweep Generator in one. It is based around a two Amp Potentiostat teamed with a two Amp Zero Resistance Ammeter and can be supplied as - 6 channel, with six sequential channels, 8 channel (eight sequential channels) or 12 channel (twelve sequential channels). Connection to the controlling Windows PC is via a standard RS232 port, optically isolated for full floating operation. The instrument is supplied with a full set of cables and software, user manual and application notes on CD.

Field Machine
The Portable Field Machine is our most versatile full specification corrosion testing instrument. Its rugged construction and protective water resistance IP68 enclosure enables it to be operated at extreme locations throughout the world. This instrument takes laboratory precision outdoors to oil rigs, pipelines, concrete walls and just about anything that needs corrosion monitoring in situ. The potentiostat, ZRA, integral Frequency Response Analyser and Sweep Generator are exactly as provided in the laboratory Gill 8 model ensuring the most accurate testing available. The choice of tests is not limited; the AC, IR Compensation and DC tests plus the Sequencer and Analysis that are supplied with this field instrument are the same as supplied with the laboratory instruments.

Weld Testers
The Weld Tester is our most versatile electrochemical monitoring instrument. Housed in a substantial metal case with brushed anodised aluminium front panel and green military specification connectors this equipment looks functional and professional. The top row of connectors are exactly the same as provided on a Gill 12 whilst the bottom row are for the additional weld segments. Using the same Potentiostat, Galvanostat, Zero Resistance Ammeter with integrated Frequency Response Analyser and Sweep Generator as a Gill 12 allows all the tests supplied with the Gill 12 to be supplied with the Weld Tester.

Parallel systems
Did you know you can couple several Gill AC, Gill 12 and Weld Testers together or any combination of Gill AC, Gill 12 or Weld Tester, to give you a parallel logging multiple Potentiostat / Galvanostat / ZRA / FRA system, capable of recording from each working electrode at up to 60 readings per second. Coupling several Gill ACs or Gill 12s together gives the added abilities of the Weld tester and the ability to perform fast sweeps. Using our latest software, it has never been easier to couple instruments together to provide a Parallel System. In fact up to 32 instruments can be controlled at the same time. These instruments can either have individually enclosures or be rack mounted.

The Field Logger
The Field Logger is a stand-alone data logger which is capable of recording potential vs. time and LPR vs. time data. The instrument is battery powered and records data onto an attached SD memory card. The instrument is entirely contained within a waterproof (IP67), tough polycarbonate enclosure (23x19x11cm), with probe connection via a single high quality watertight Lemo or Amphenol connector.
