For regions with stable weather conditions, PSE provides two outdoor bi-axial trackers, which keep test samples perpendicular to the sun. PSE trackers are designed for outdoor testing and certification of both solar thermal collectors and PV modules. With our trackers it is possible to test more than one collector at the same time. Simultaneous collector testing can allow direct comparison of different collector designs under identical conditions or increase the measurement throughput of collectors and modules. This test system is designed to measure the heat transfer during the test of heat pumps and chillers with an integrated pump. The thermal energy is measured with a Coriolis mass flow sensor and two temperature sensors which can be positioned at the inlet and outlet of the test object. Additionally a pressure sensor measures the pressure drop of the heat exchanger of the object under test.

This device can be used to test units for tap water heating. Therefore draw-off profiles for tap water consumption can be simulated. The module consists of storage tank with an integrated heat exchanger for setting a defined water temperature. To simulate the tap water consumption a frequency controlled screw pump is used. Several valves enable the user to flush the pipes between the unit and the test object, to minimize the influence of pipes with no defined water temperature.
