The Keysight 10771A Angular Reflector, used in the Keysight 5530Laser Calibration System, is ideal for precision calibration applications. Paired with the 10770A Angular Interferometer, it is used to measure pitch and yaw motions along each axis that a machine tool or measuring machine travels. The Keysight 10773A Flatness Mirror is a 100% reflectance mirror that turns the direction of an incoming laser beam 90 degrees. The mirror, used in the 5530 Laser Calibration System, measures flatness in applications such as surface plate calibration. It can be used in place of the 10707A Beam Bender (6 mm or less beam diameter) for applications that require the larger aperture of the 10773A.

The optics form a highly-accurate optical straightedge that can measure the straightness of travel of machine-tool and measuring-machine coordinate motions with a resolution of 0.04 micrometer (1 uin).

Turning Mirror

The 10769A is ideal for use in laser measurement and calibration applications. In the calibration of slant bed lathes, for example, the beam steering mirror deflects the beam from the laser head upward, through the interferometer, along the lathe's cross slide. One or more mirrors can also create a path from a laser head to an interferometer located in an otherwise inaccessible position, as in the case of a milling machine with a table that moves in only one axis.
