Linear Measurement Kit

The Keysight 55280B Linear Measurement Kit is part of the 5530 Laser Calibration System and enables the system to measure linear displacement and velocity along a machine's travel path. The purpose of this measurement is to document capability and, when possible, improve positioning accuracy along an axis for any machine that requires positioning accuracy and velocity control.

Ideal for use in precision calibration applications, it includes the 10770A Angular Interferometer and the 10771A Angular Reflector. Together the high-accuracy plane mirror interferometer and the angular reflector measure pitch and yaw motions along each axis that a machine tool or measuring machine travels. Results are displayed directly in arc-seconds or in mm/mm (in/in).

The flatness mirrors provide 100 percent reflectance and turn the direction of an incoming laser beam 90 degrees.
