Reference Magnet
Reference magnets generate a homogeneous magnetic field in an air gap. They are mainly used to calibrate hall probes for their full scale value of output for the magnetic field strength H or the magnetic flux density B they measure. For example Gaussmeters can be calibrated by using reference magnets.
