MBP Model Targets Re-centering

The W8626EP Model Builder Program (MBP) Model Targets Re-centering software provides you a turnkey solution to center the model targets by tweaking the "best-fitting" model card parameters in an efficient way. Given the complexity in the advanced technologies, more fitting targets and instances are involved in the SPICE model. The new re-centering package in MBP enables youto tune the model parameters by observing both the error table and IMV plots at the same time. Automated optimization on the selected targets are supported. Finally, the error table can be easily exported as an Excel file for documentation purposes.

Unlike its predecessors (BSIM3 & BSIM4), BSIM6 has been formulated by using a more physical surface-potential/charge-based approach, sharing commonalities with other two industry standard bulk models, PSP and HiSIM2. The main benefit of BSIM6, in comparison to BSIM4, is its ability to maintain symmetry of output characteristics around zero drain-to-source bias. This turns out to be a key requirement for certain applications (such as passive switches) where the drain-to-source bias crosses zero during circuit operation.
