    In our world of smart appliances sensing the physical aspects of our environment is key: we like to know (measure) temperature, sunlight, position, distance, pressure and so on, and use that information in our (control) systems. For that data to be processed the (analog) physical signals need to be converted to electrical signals: the function of the sensor. An integrated (smart) sensor can do this and when realized in semiconductor technology can be mass-produced at low-cost. With our analog IC design expertise we have been involved in the development of many sensor readout circuits. But we also take care of integration of the related signal processing such as high resolution AD conversion and the digital interfacing.

    The Keysight PZ2120A is a cost-effective, high-speed precision source / measure unit (SMU) featuring best-in-class narrow pulse width, fast Digitizer Mode, and seamless current measurement ranging. It enables narrow-pulsed measurements and fast dynamic measurements with a wide dynamic range for a wide range of emerging applications such as vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) optical devices and integrated circuit (IC) testing.     The ADF4356 allows implementation of fractional-N or integer-N phase-locked loop (PLL) frequency synthesizers when used with an external loop filter and an external reference frequency. A series of frequency dividers at another frequency output permits operation from 53.125 MHz to 6800 MHz. The ADF4356 has an integrated VCO with a fundamental output frequency ranging from 3400 MHz to 6800 MHz. In addition, the VCO frequency is connected to divide by 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 circuits that allow the user to generate RF output frequencies as low as 53.125 MHz. For applications that require isolation, the RF output stage can be muted. The mute function is both pin- and software-controllable.

    Dielectric resonator oscillators (DRO) are free running oscillators that utilize state-of-the-art planar circuits, three-terminal devices and dielectric resonator technology to generate high-quality microwave signals with excellent frequency stability. In addition, these oscillators are equipped with an internal voltage regulator that further improves the frequency stability by isolating the external bias pushing and modulation. In general, these oscillators are fixed. However, a small mechanical or electrical tuning range can be achieved by use of a self-locking screw or an integrated Varactor diode. The standard offering covers the frequency range of 2 to 40 GHz. While standard models are equipped with female SMA and K connectors at the RF port, other RF interface options are also available.
