  • Analog or Digital Communications Switching Systems with D Type Connectors

    RS Series - Cytec Corp.

The RS Series computer controlled switching systems are designed to switch multi-wire groups of signal up to 25 wires. These systems are typically used for signals such as parallel TTL, RS232, RS422, WAN or modems, but can also be used for any group of analog or digital signals having a bandpass up to 30 MHz or a data rate up to 20 Mbps. A modular design concept is used that provides configuration flexibility by allowing display modules, different control modules and switch modules to be combined into a single chassis.LED displays and switch point status feedback are available on most systems. Computer control via IEEE488 (GPIB) and RS232 is standard, while TCP/IP Ethernet LAN, USB and manual controls are optionally available.

  • 1U Rackmount Network Appliance Platform

    NA591 - Axiomtek Co., Ltd.

The NA591 is an advanced 1U rackmount network appliance platform with a maximum of thirty-four LAN ports. This high-performance network appliance system is powered by the Intel® Xeon® E-2200 and 9th/8th gen Intel® Core™ i7/i5/i3 processors with the Intel® C246 chipset. The NA591 comes with four expandable LAN module slots that support 1GbE/10GbE/25GbE/40GbE/Fiber/Copper/LAN Bypass interfaces, greatly enhancing its flexibility and scalability. This scalable 1U network appliance platform delivers security, stability and reliability for VPN, firewall, network bandwidth controller, WAN accelerator and surveillance system applications. This outstanding network security appliance features Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) to allow administrators to monitor system health and manage systems. Trusted Platform Module (TPM) is supported to bolster hardware-based data protection. Moreover, it features latch-type LAN Bypass functions for fail-over option as well as featuring BIOS console redirection. The NA591 is an ideal platform for network security, cloud computing and data centers applications.

  • Virtual SBC

    Patton Electronics Co.

What is a virtual session border controller or virtualized SBC? Traditionally, a session border controller (SBC) is a device positioned between carrier networks or between an enterprise LAN and a service-provider WAN. In the latter case, the border controller is called an enterprise session border controller or eSBC. Whether it is delivered as a dedicated hardware session border controller or a virtualized network function, (a.k.a. software SBC) the border controller manages call (session) setup and teardown. The SBC also provides network demarcation (demarc), or separation (border) between network domains, as well as other types of management (control) over the data streams that pass between networks. With the growing popularity of software defined networking (SDN) and the burgeoning market development and adoption of network function virtualization (NFV), eSBC functionality is more and more often de-coupled from a dedicated hardware device and delivered as a virtual instance running as a virtual machine (VM) on top of a hypervisor. It is generally not well understood in the market why an eSBC is such a critical network element for a secure and reliable SIP-based enterprise phone system. The following publication will help close that knowledge gap.
