To be used for optical coherent detection such as DP-QPSK receivers, Optoplex’s ten-port 2x8 Coherent Mixer (aka QPSK mixer) combines the incoming signal with a local oscillator to generate eight light states in the complex-field space. Solo, the test equipment used world-wide to functionally test fire detectors has a new tester in its range – Solo 365. Unlike metal detectors, a magnetometer signal is not attenuated by rock, dirt, mud or water, so targets can be detected at great depth.
