EDFA -
Fibotec Fiberoptics GmbH
EDFAs are based on the light amplification in erbium-doped fiber, which are optically pumped by means of 980 nm or 1480 nm light sources. In this way, the light of a larger wavelength within the C or L band applied to the input of the amplifier is amplified, thus widening the range of optical communication links. EDFAs typically operate in saturation and the average signal power determines the average gain. The dynamics of EDFA are unaffected by the sequence and dynamics of a digital signal or channel interaction in DWDM systems. As a result, multiple channels can be bundled within the total erbium spectral amplification bandwidth. However, the total average output power in both cases is determined by the saturation power of the specific EDFA.

87104D -
Keysight Technologies
The Keysight 87104D multiport switch improves signal accuracy in RF and microwave signal routing and testing applications. This high performance electromechanical switch provides unmatched isolation and a 0.03 dB insertion loss repeatability, which is warranted for the 5-million life cycle of the switch. The 87104D’s low insertion loss repeatability reduces sources of random errors in the measurement path, which improves measurement accuracy. The repeatability and reliability of this switch guarantee measurement accuracy and can cut the cost of ownership by reducing calibration cycles and increasing test system up time. Highly repeatable switching capability is made possible through Keysight's rigorous design and tight manufacturing specifications.

Orbit Controls AG
Orbit Controls process controllers are designed for direct connection to virtually all industrial sensors and signal sources. They can be used as process monitors to display the process variables to be measured or as process controllers to monitor processes. In addition to the digital display, the devices also have data interfaces, analog outputs and set point outputs. Simple process monitors are optimized in the factory for the desired measuring range and function at the customer's request. The programmable controllers can be parameterized on site via the keyboard or the data interface.

Trend Viewer -
ZETLAB Company
A trend is a diagram facilitating analysis of long records of measured sensor values (for hours, days, months, years). Based on the sampling frequency, an n number of counts per second are performed, and their yearly number equals to 31,556,926*n. If the user needs to evaluate short-term moments of the source signal, then there is no difficulty. It is much more difficult, when it is necessary to evaluate the parameters for the entire year or several years, and no monitor and no person would handle it. And this is the case when trend building could help.

Spectrum Instrumentation
Although all Spectrum A/D cards have a very powerful input section with a highly configurable input amplifier and a variety of input ranges it is sometimes necessary to have additional external amplifiers if the signal to acquire has an extremely low level. Spectrum offers a range of perfectly matching external amplifiers to cover such cases. These powerful amplifiers have been rated using the Spectrum cards and offer best performance together with high amplification rates. The amplifiers are simply connected between the signal source and the Spectrum A/D card input and can be manually switched between different settings using small lever keys. All amplifiers allow the offset compensation by using an adjustable screw.
