Rolling Seal 8 Optical Connector - APC (RS8 APC)
The Angled Physical Contact Rolling Seal 8 Connector (RS8 APC) from Teledyne ODI is a wet-mateable optical connector with angled endfaces. The design reduces signal interference due to reflections at the connector face, supporting the next generation of subsea optical communication equipment. The Rolling Seal design provides isolation from seawater and silt when the connectors are unmated. As the seals rotate, the fibers join inside a clean, oil-filled conduit, resulting in a reliable optical throughput. The RS8 APC incorporates RS8 Mark III design features to enhance operational efficiency and reduce risks during ROV intervention.

Rolling Seal 8 Optical Connector (RS8)
The patented Rolling Seal design functions by excluding water and shuttling silt away from the region where the optical ferrules are brought into contact as the connectors are mated. As a result, a clean oil-filled conduit is created for the optical ferrules to connect. The result is a reliable lowloss optical throughput.

Industrial Weighing - Wireless Load Cells
A wireless industrial weighing scale system can be advantageous, for instance when running conduit for cable is impossible, or if the cable could be damaged easily. In some cases the wireless interface is more economical than long runs of cable. These systems can be battery operated or hard wired to a power source if available. View our wireless load cell options below.

Utility Locator
VM-850
Using the correct frequency makes a world of difference when locating buried utilities. The depth of the utility, size, material, and amount of congestion (proximity of other utilities) all need to be taken into consideration for the correct frequency selection. Large diameter, direct buried pipes with bell housing ends that use insulators and rubber gaskets, such as water or gas require a higher frequency while smaller diameter, well-grounded direct buried or long distance in conduits work, better with a lower frequency. The VM-850 operates at a much lower frequency of 9.82kHz which is ideal for smaller diameter utilities such as CATV, power and telephone with less bleeding onto adjacent services.

Utility Locator
VM-810
Using the correct frequency makes a world of difference when locating buried utilities. The depth of the utility, size, material, and amount of congestion (proximity of other utilities) all need to be taken into consideration for the correct frequency selection. Large diameter, direct buried pipes with bell housing ends that use insulators and rubber gaskets, such as water or gas require a higher frequency while smaller diameter, well-grounded direct buried or long distance in conduits work, better with a lower frequency. The VM-810 operates at 83.1kHz which is ideal for water and gas utilities which generally are larger pipes with bell housings and gaskets. The VM-810’s higher frequency is also good for locating ungrounded small diameter drop wires and inducing signals through the soil, onto services when direct connecting is not an option.
