  • Electrosurgical Insulation Defect Detector

    MM513 - McGan Technology

McGan Technology’s MM513 electrosurgical insulation defect detector is a compact, hand held, battery operated unit that tests the integrity, such as pinholes, cracks or defects, of the insulation of electrosurgical instrument in order to prevent inadvertent tissue burns which may occur during electrosurgical instrument procedures. The integrity of the insulation of electrosurgical instruments can occur over time, through normal surgical use, through the accidental contact with a sharp instrument or the rubbing of the insulation to the point of abrading it. The insulation failure provides an alternate pathway for the current to leave the instrument’s electrode usually beyond the sight of the surgeon which will result in the unintended tissue burn. Using an electrosurgical test equipment maintenance program can greatly reduce the number of these inadvertent burns during electrosurgical procedures.

  • PXI 1A Fault Insertion Switch 22-Channel

    40-195-001 - Pickering Interfaces Ltd.

The 40-195 is a 22 Channel Fault Insertion Switch, primarily designed for the simulation of fault conditions in automotive & avionics applications involving the reliability testing of safety critical controllers. It is designed to be able to insert different fault conditions on pairs of signals between the test fixture and the equipment under test: Open-Circuit, Short-Circuit between signal pairs, Short-Circuit between signal pairs and user applied fault conditions e.g. Power or GND. Relays in-line with the signal paths allow open circuit conditions to be simulated on either side or both sides of a signal pair. Relays between each channel pair enable adjacent signals to be shorted, and relays between signal paths and the "Fault" connection allow the application of external user applied fault conditions.

  • Lightweight Hammershock Testing

    National Technical Systems

Lightweight Shock Machine (LWSM) Testing per MIL-DTL-901E is the military specification covering shock test requirements for shipboard machinery, equipment, systems and structures. Anyone who produces an item for military use in any of these shipboard categories will likely need to complete this testing. The purpose of this testing is to verify the ability of shipboard installations to withstand shock loadings which may be incurred during wartime service due to the effects of conventional or nuclear weapons. These requirements grew out of the Navy’s experiences during World War II and the subsequent underwater explosion (UNDEX) experiments. In many cases, it was found that critical ship systems could be disabled by the shock effects of nearby weapons explosions that were not a direct hit on the ship itself.

  • Reliability Testing

    ELES Semiconductor Equipment SpA

ELES designs and manufacturers reliability test solutions to verify the performance of integrated circuits from concept validation to high volume production during all the test phases. No other company can provide universal equipment for all the reliability tests,  or can guarantee a seamless data flow between phases or can apply on chip embedded reliability engineering for data tracking and failure investigation. Clients use our functional test data to proactively analyse variations between lots, between temperature extremes  and during lifetime (often these defects escape ATE).  The improvements to products and processes needed to arrive at zero defects  cannot be driven by the quantity of Big Data alone, the quality of reliability data is a strategic advantage that only ELES can provide.

  • Reliability Testing

    Keystone Compliance

The reliability test program includes a number of qualification tests based on the type of product, the environment within which it is anticipated to operate in and estimated product weaknesses. Establishing an effective but practical and affordable test program can be a challenge. Reducing the number of units tested or the scope of testing might not yield a sufficient sample of results. Testing multiple units or having an expansive test program can be very time consuming and expensive. A very good resource for establishing a reliability test program is MIL-HDBK-781: Handbook for Reliability Test Methods, Plans and Environments for Engineering, Development, Qualification and Production. This handbook provides test methods, test plans and test environmental profiles which can be used in reliability testing during the development, qualification, and production of systems and equipment.
