INFINITY-Deep is an autonomously deployable data logger for current speed measurements in the deep oceans. The currents in the deep oceans are very weak. It is too hard to accurately measure the deep water currents by some ADVs (Acoustic Doppler Velocimeters) that detect the Doppler-effect by scatter with the suspended particles in the water, because the concentration is very low. INFINITY-Deep measures 2-D current data through a magnetic field according to Faraday's law. Therefore, even if the suspended particles do not exist around the sensor, it can provide the accurate current data. The depth rating is 6,000m. Compared to INFINITY-EM, the instrument has a depth and a tilt sensors to monitor mooring status. Also, the battery capacity doubles for long-term current velocity measurements.

Additionally, the system can provide analog output as well as necessary. While conventional water level and wave height meters cannot be used near velocity sensors, our instrument can be as near as 5 cm without increasing noise, due to its special isolated circuit. Hail is an extremely destructive force of nature, especially for aircraft, with impacts occurring at more than 600 mph. NTS performs hail and stone strike testing and high velocity hail strike testing. These tests can be performed using clear ice, stone and aluminum projectiles of up to two inches in diameter, fired at velocities of up to 741 miles per hour(331.4m/sec, 1087.4 f/sec). Typical test programs include aircraft windshields, antennas, radomes, and wheel/brake assemblies. Using a laser equipped system with a high degree of accuracy, repeatable impacts can be performed to within a quarter inch of the desired target. This accuracy allows NTS to test even the smallest of test samples, as well as limit the potential damage area of larger units.
