Circuit Breaker Analyzer
CAT Standard Series
The CAT Standard series circuit breaker analyzers & timers are stand-alone or a PC-controlled digital instruments for circuit breakers condition assessments. The timing channels record closing and opening of the arcing, resistor, and auxiliary contacts. CAT Standard series records graphs of both, trip and close coil currents and displacements of the HV and MV circuit breaker moving parts. The main contact channels can also measure the resistance value of the pre-insertion resistors (if present in the circuit breaker). Test results can be downloaded to a USB memory stick or saved to internal memory. The CAT Standard series internal memory can store up to 500 test results (numerical and graphical data). Test results can also be printed on the 80 mm (3.15 inch) thermal printer (optional accessory) in tabular and graphical form. DC Resistance or Conductance of Insulating Materials

These test methods cover direct-current procedures for the measurement of dc insulation resistance,volume resistance, and surface resistance. From such measurements and the geometric dimensions of specimen and electrodes, both volume and surface resistivity of electrical insulating materials can be calculated, as well as the corresponding conductances and conductivities. These test methods are not suitable for use in measuring the electrical resistance/conductance of moderately conductive materials. Use Test Method D4496 to evaluate such materials. This standard describes several general alternative methodologies for measuring resistance (or conductance). Specific materials can be tested most appropriately by using standard ASTM test methods applicable to the specific material that define both voltage stress limits and finite electrification times as well as specimen configuration and electrode geometry. These individual specific test methodologies would be better able to define the precision and bias for the determination.

esi SR1030 Series
The esi SR1030 transfer standards consist of 12 equal steps. These steps are available in increments of 1 (SR1030-1), 10 (SR1030-10), 100 (SR1030-100), 1k (SR1030-1k), 10k (SR1030-10k) and 100k (SR1030-100k). The esi SR1030 provides four-terminal connections for each step or for series and parallel combinations of these resistance steps using the optional Series-Parallel (SPC102), Parallel Compensation Networks (PC101) and shorting bars (SB103). This improves power dissipation, stability and errors due to variance in temperature. The esi SR1010 and esi SR1030 are used for the same applications and are alike in configuration. The esi SR1030 differs from the esi SR1010 in that it is specially sealed, and values below 100 k are filled with oil to improve changes due to thermal variations.
