TOC-L Series -
Shimadzu Corp.
The TOC-L series of TOC analyzers adopts the 680°C combustion catalytic oxidation method, which was developed by Shimadzu and is now used worldwide. While providing an ultra wide range of 4 μg/L to 30,000 mg/L, these analyzers boast a detection limit of 4 μg/L through coordination with NDIR. This is the highest level of detection sensitivity available with the combustion catalytic oxidation method. In addition, the combustion catalytic oxidation method makes it possible to efficiently oxidize not only easily-decomposed, low-molecular-weight organic compounds, but also hard-to-decompose insoluble and macromolecular organic compounds.

Dantec Dynamics A/S
Soot is considered a hazardous pollutant emission and is typically a result of incomplete combustion processes, and thus is also related to combustion performance. Laser Induced Incandescence (LII) is a laser-optical measurement technique dedicated to soot diagnostics. LII can provide measurements of soot volume fraction, such as in Diesel engine exhaust, and even instantaneous images of soot distribution during formation inside a running IC engine.

MSM-100 -
Walsn Enterprises Ltd.
MSM-100 is a monitoring system specifically designed to continuously detect carbon monoxide(CO) in pulverizing mills. The high level of CO produced by any incomplete combustion process, is used by the MSM-100 system as advance warning of a mill fire. It is suitable for any coal or peat system where advance warning of spontaneous combustion is required. MSM-100 is intended for operation in the electricity, metals, cement, steel and processing industries.

O2 -
Bacharach, Inc.
The O2 sensor is used in Bacharach portable combustion analyzers to measure the percentage content of oxygen levels in flue gases. The range of the oxygen sensor is 0 – 20.9%. O2 measurement is used in conjunction with the chosen fuel to calculate the CO2 levels in flue gases. Bacharach portable combustion analyzers only calculate CO2 when oxygen levels are below 16%. Bacharach uses O2 and other readings in determining efficiency rather than CO2 for a more accurate measurement. Measuring oxygen content in the excess air lets you know if you have too much air or too much fuel, allowing you to tune your furnace or boiler to maximum efficiency. Measuring O2 directly can save fuel, and save time during a combustion tune-up test.
