  • SafeBloc

    Interpower Corp.

A SafeBloc is an accessory device, which can be used with other test equipment, as an adapter, to connect and test power cords and wiring harnesses for production testing purposes, prior to installation into equipment. Such testing would include Hipot and continuity testing of the power cord or wiring harness. The SafeBloc allows the bare wires of a power cord or wiring harness to be connected to the test equipment via clips inside the enclosure. Power can only flow through the device once it is closed and the test sequence is then started, ensuring that the test operator will not get shocked during the testing procedure. Power cord manufacturers and CEMs manufacturing custom wiring harnesses would be typical users of such a device.

  • Special Force Transducers

WIKA Alexander Wiegand SE & Co. KG

We refer to force transducers that do not fit into any standard design as special force transducers. Due to the specification of the requirement, in some cases design-engineered solutions must be considered. As a long-standing manufacturer of force measurement technology, WIKA brings this expertise into play and can find the best and, at the same time, most economical solution for the customer. Among our special force transducers are, for example, force sensors for determining the weight of containers (twistlock sensors) or for testing rope tension (wire rope force transducers). The applications in which special force transducers are used are wide-ranging and always require great experience in their engineering. You can count on this when you trust in the right solution from WIKA.

  • LAN Network Testers

    PCE Instruments

A cable detector can locate open power cables, either live or without current, up to 300 V. A cable detector can locate cables, circuits, short circuits and ground wires. To perform these functions, it is not always necessary to disconnect electrically sensitive devices or to disconnect the power to the cable being tested. Many cable detector devices can also locate ferrous and non-ferrous metals, wood and plastic with high degrees of accuracy. A cable detector provides a safe way to test wall sockets for which no electrical plans or wiring information is available about the cables or their output. A cable detector is very versatile, as it ensures speed and safety when making holes in walls, ceilings and floors.

  • Multiple Channel Burn In Power Supply

    MCPS - Test Electronics

The most important features of this burn in power supply is its ability to hold a constant output for each channel even in the event that a unit under test on one channel may short and fail. Since each channel has it''s own transformer, no glitches or voltage spikes can get into any of the other channels. This image shows the results as the second channel from the left is shorted with a small wire and the circuit breaker pops out. Used for burn-in testing and other timed testing where power isolation is required. Very basic simple circuit, see schematic below. Cleans and frees up benchtops, burn in racks and work space clutter. Available in benchtop or rackmount.

  • Furnaces

    Instron

These three zone resistance wire wound furnaces are of split construction to facilitate fast and easy loading of a pre-assembled specimen train. The case is constructed from stainless steel with aluminium and hardened insulation board end plates. The optional front cut-out allows the use of side-entry high-temperature extensometry. Adjustable stainless steel latches keep the furnace halves locked together during use, but are then easily opened once testing is complete. The furnace is available with optional heavy duty brackets or mountings, which attach to a wide range of testing systems. An extensive range of standard controllers is available to suit most test regimes. Custom variants can be specified should the standard range not include a suitable unit.

  • Analog or Digital Communications Switching Systems with D Type Connectors

    RS Series - Cytec Corp.

The RS Series computer controlled switching systems are designed to switch multi-wire groups of signal up to 25 wires. These systems are typically used for signals such as parallel TTL, RS232, RS422, WAN or modems, but can also be used for any group of analog or digital signals having a bandpass up to 30 MHz or a data rate up to 20 Mbps. A modular design concept is used that provides configuration flexibility by allowing display modules, different control modules and switch modules to be combined into a single chassis.LED displays and switch point status feedback are available on most systems. Computer control via IEEE488 (GPIB) and RS232 is standard, while TCP/IP Ethernet LAN, USB and manual controls are optionally available.
