  • Full Band Down-Converters

    STC-20-10-S1 - ERAVANT

Full band down-converters are designed to convert high frequency millimeterwave signals down to the baseband at 10 MHz to 1.6 GHz. These down-converters deliver a superior performance since they are assembled with SAGE Millimeter’s instrumentation grade components, such as multipliers, amplifiers, filters, isolators, and more. The below standard offering covers the frequency range of 26.5 to 170 GHz and delivers a typical LO power of 3 dBm and conversion gain of 20 dB. The down-converters provide low harmonic levels and excellent gain flatness, making them ideal for test instrumentation applications. Specifications other than those listed below are available upon request.

  • Short Light Source

    LM-AS - Eddy Co.

The short light source is compatible with the LM-101 or the LMC-20. The light is supplied with a 50 watt tungsten halogen convection cooled light source which provides suffcient energy for use with narrow band pass filters or monochronomators in the wave length range of .35 to 2.5 microns. The light beam is chopped at 200 hz by a quiet, vibration free, synchronous motor. The housing also contains a secondary LED light source and detector for synchronization of the amplifier, plus an electro-mechanical shutter to block the light output when the instrument is zeroed. An internal collimating lens produces a narrow beam (<1") so the LM-AS can be used in bell-jar and large coating systems.

  • RX Pre-Amplifier System

    RAM-34 - Array Solutions

The RAM-34 is a complete pre-amplifier system designed primarily for the low bands 160M thru 40M. It has inputs for four receive antennas and internal 3-pole bandpass filters for 160M, 80M and 40M. In addition to the pre-amplifier, it has a step attenuator that togetherwith the amplifier stage provides gains from -20 dB to +20 dB in 5 dB steps. This allows equalizing the signal levels between the antenna inputs. Gain settings are memorized for each antenna on each band. Different types of receive antennas have different signal levels and the gain memories eliminate the need to adjust the receiver or pre-amplifier when switching between the antennas.

  • 6000 Series Analog I/O Modules

    Pacific Instruments, Inc.

Series 6000 analog I/O modules condition, amplify, filter and digitize signals from virtually any transducer. All modules have conditioning & amplifier per channel and nearly all modules allow for setting bridge completion, shunt calibration, transducer power, gain, etc. individually per channel. Following the conditioning/amplifier stage, multi-pole Bessel or Butterworth analog filters are provided on each channel and can be set or bypassed individually by program control. A number of the modules include a high level analog output providing a conditioned/filtered output to a redundant, external A/D system. A 16-Bit Successive Approximation A/D follows the analog filter stage. Some modules use a single A/D with sample and hold while others have an A/D per channel. Sample rates are programmable per channel to easily accommodate mixing high and low speed measurements into a single data stream. Programmable hardware based warnings and alarms are included in the channel-by-channel architecture and are detected by digital output modules in the system, providing an ultra-low latency control capability directly from the data acquisition system.

  • Mini Receiver

    FB7-NX - National RF, Inc

In about 1935, the National Radio Company of Malden, Mass., brought out a “hot” high frequency receiver, called the FB7, and the subsequent FB-7X. It featured a super-hetrodyne design with plug-in coils that gave it a broad frequency range. The “X” model also incorporated a crystal filter in the intermediate frequency section, thus giving it additional selectivity. The receiver was viewed by radio amateurs as a technological breakthrough, and it was also used commercially for point to point high frequency communications. As the receiver did not have an internal RF amplifier section, a separately tunable RF amplifier was later provided in a separate enclosure for additional performance capabilities. Now, National RF, Inc., is resurrecting the fabled receiver name with an all solid-state, hot mini receiver, which also utilizes plug-in coils to cover the HF spectrum. The mini-receiver is designed for use by radio amateurs as well as serious short-wave listeners, and allows reception of AM, CW, and SSB signals. It incorporates a super-hetrodyne design with a dual gate FET built-in RF preamplifier and a ceramic filter for selectivity, often required when used in a crowded amateur radio band. In addition, the receiver has a buffered rear panel output of the high frequency oscillator for use with either a frequency counter for exact receive frequency display, or for interface with an outboard transmitter. A rear panel jack is also provided for muting the receiver when a transmitter is placed into the transmit mode. And, the receiver is small enough to fit into carry-on luggage and taken on trips when it is desired to “keep an ear” on amateur radio or other high frequency activity. The receiver utilizes rear panel plug-in coil assemblies which contain the RF amplifier, mixer, and oscillator tuned circuits. Each plug-in coil assembly also comes with a separate dial scale, which is inserted onto the front panel for displaying the tuned frequency. A very smooth 6 to 1 planetary drive is used for tuning the receiver. Other front panel controls include RF preamplifier peak, volume control, Beat Frequency Oscillator adjustment, and RF gain control. Other switches include filter bandwidth, AM/CW/SSB selection, Power, and a general coverage/band spread control for certain plug-in assemblies. The receiver is intended to drive head-phones via a rear panel jack, but has sufficient output to drive a small external speaker.
