  • Three-Phase Transformer Demagnetizer

    DEM60C - IBEKO Power AB

After a DC current test, such as winding resistance measurement, the magnetic core of a power or instrument transformer may be magnetized (remnant magnetism). It can cause various problems such as wrong diagnostics, inaccurate measurements on a transformer, inrush current at the start-up of a power transformer, or incorrect operation of protective relays due to magnetized CT cores. The best way to eliminate this source of potential problems is to use demagnetizer on the power or instrument transformer. The DEM60C is a fully automatic test instrument which performs three-phase transformer demagnetization. Transformer magnetic core demagnetization requires the application of AC current with magnitude decreasing to zero. DEM60C provides this AC current by internally changing the polarity of a controlled DC current. During the demagnetization process, the instrument supplies the current at decreasing magnitude for each step, following a proprietary algorithm. It can demagnetize single-phase and three-phase power transformers. The instrument can be connected to all three phases of a power transformer to be demagnetized, on either the primary or the secondary side. If a user selects specific vector diagrams for different types of transformers, DEM60C will run a specific demagnetization procedure for each transformer type (i.e., single phase, delta, wye/star, zig-zag.) without switching the test leads.DEM60C enables safe and efficient power transformer demagnetization. The instrument automatically regulates the injection of current and discharging energy from the inductance. During and after the operation, an intrinsically safe discharge circuit with an indicator rapidly dissipates the stored magnetic energy. The discharging circuit is independent of the power supply, which improves its reliability in case of loss of power.Test currents of up to 60 A DC enable efficient demagnetization of even the largest power transformers. Using a DV Win software, it is possible to control DEM60C externally.

  • Battery Capacity Tester

BLU-T Series - IBEKO Power AB

Battery load bank BLU-T is a powerful and lightweight solution designed for condition assessment of telecommunication and radio equipment backup supply. This instrument can perform the battery capacity test on battery strings such as Pb, Li-ion, Ni-Cd, and others. It tests battery strings with voltages in the range of 0,9 – 70,5 V DC. As a special feature, the BLU110T model enables capacity testing of single PB, Ni-based as well as Li cells (with current up to 100 A).The capacity test is conducted in an accurate, user-friendly way. Also, it is in accordance with battery testing standards: IEEE 450-2010, IEEE 1188-2005, IEEE 1106-2015, IEC 60896-11/22, and other relevant standards.BLU-T battery load bank enables setting the discharge current up to 350 A, with 0,1 A resolution. If higher currents are required, the BLU-T units can be connected in parallel, or BXL-T additional load units can be linked. The instrument offers a high power-to-weight ratio. BLU-T series has models starting from 12,8 kg / 28.2 lbs and up to 19,2 kW of power.A user can select one of three discharge modes: Constant current, Constant power, Constant resistance. Additionally, different battery duty cycles can be simulated using user-selectable discharge profiles.Discharge parameters can be monitored in real-time during the capacity test. A 4,3-inch touch screen shows overall battery voltage, discharge current, discharge test time and capacity during the entire test. Also, the capacity tester is compatible with DV-B Win software. A user can view a detailed numerical and graphical presentation of key parameters, and create reports in various formats.Testing can be carried out without disconnecting the battery from the service.

  • Ground Grid Tester

GGT Series - IBEKO Power AB

The GGT500 ground grid integrity tester is designed for inspection of the substation ground grid. It can also be used as a portable micro-ohmmeter with Both Sides Grounded and Remote Control functionalities. It is intended to inspection the conditions of a grounding system beneath substations, testing of medium- and high-voltage circuit breakers, disconnecting switches, high-current bus bar joints, cable splices, and different high-current links. In the United States when inspecting the quality of the grounding systems beneath a substation, the proper procedure is to inject 300 A DC during a time period of 60 s. This is what the GGT500 will do, and in that time period, the current path and voltage drop are checked. Also acting as a micro-ohmmeter, the GGT500 can test low resistance values by producing high test currents of up to 500 A.The instrument is placed in an unbreakable, plastic case with IP67 protective rating (with closed lid). Although very portable and lightweight, micro-ohmmeters have very high output power capabilities. High output voltage enables a wider measurement range at higher test currents, as well as the use of thinner/longer test cables. GGT500 ground grid integrity tester generates a true DC ripple-free (less than 1 % ripple) current with automatically regulated test ramps. This significantly decreases magnetic transients and ensures great accuracy. When used for testing in Both Sides Grounded conditions, a special current clamp powered from the ground grid integrity tester is used for measuring a current through groundings. If even a higher safety level is required, the remote control feature enables the operator to perform measurements from a distant location, away from the instrument and test object.

  • Handheld Micro-Ohmmeters

RMO-H Series - IBEKO Power AB

The RMO-H is battery operated and handheld micro-ohmmeter. It is designed for a variety of applications for contact resistance measurement of non-inductive test objects. Typical applications are accurate testing of:medium and high-voltage circuit breakers, disconnecting switches,high-current bus bar joints, cable splices, and different high-current links.Even more, it accurately measures in high-induction filed environments and substations, as well as in factory testing.RMO-H Series contains six models in total, divided in 2 sub-series depending on the test leads length requirement and the battery type:RMO-H1, RMO-H2 and RMO-H3 models are intended for use with short cables (e.g. 1,3 m / 3 m / 5 m). The 1-cell Li-Po battery with 8200 mAh capacity provides output voltage up to 4,1 V DC.RMO-H21, RMO-H22 and RMO-H23 models are ideal for applications where test leads with lengths > 5 m are required. The high output voltage (up to 8,3 V DC) is provided by 2-cells 4100 mAh Li-Po battery. The test current is regulated and can be selected in a range of 1 A to maximum 300 A, depending on the maximum test current rating:RMO-H1, RMO-H21 models – up to 100 A DCRMO-H2, RMO-H22 models – up to 220 A DCRMO-H3, RMO-H23 models – up to 300 A DC.Unlike many other handheld micro-ohmmeters available on the market, our instruments have regulated and user-selectable test currents. Therefore, RMO-H instruments generate an automatically regulated test ramp with stable and ripple-free current during measurement. These revolutionary characteristics in a handheld micro-ohmmeters technology are possible by using sophisticated Li-Po batteries. Consequently, modern battery technology enables you to do multiple measurements, and a full day of testing without recharging the battery. With all RMO-H models, it is possible to make tests on Both Sides Grounded testing objects, in an increased safety environment. Finally, these features in combination with a user-friendly interface (1-click to measure) significantly speed-up testing procedure and make it safer. These instruments store up to 1000 measurements on the internal micro SD card. Our free DV Win software communicates with the RMO-H micro-ohmmeters via a wireless Bluetooth interface. Furthermore, it allows you to download test results, analysis and generate fully configurable test reports.
