Pickering Interfaces Ltd.
The 40-204-001(PXI) and 42-204-001 (PXIe) are single channel differential multiplexers designed to simulate common faults on high-speed two wire communication interfaces such as 1000Base-T1. They are available with support for 1 or 2-channels of two wire serial interfaces. Each channel pair can be looped out to external equipment or the switches can be used simulate a channel open fault. Using the fault bus, switches can simulate a short between both wires or a short to one of two externally applied fault conditions – such as battery supply or ground - via two fault buses.

The 40-204-002 (PXI) and 42-204-002 (PXIe) are dual channel differential multiplexers designed to simulate common faults on high-speed two wire communication interfaces such as 1000Base-T1. They are available with support for 1 or 2-channels of two wire serial interfaces. Each channel pair can be looped out to external equipment or the switches can be used simulate a channel open fault. Pickering Interfaces, a leading supplier of modular signal switching for electronic test and simulation, is expanding its range of PCI Fault Insertion switching with the introduction of two new modules (models 50-200 and 50-201) designed for use with differential serial interfaces. PCI Fault Insertion Switch Cards for Differential Serial InterfacesThe new modules include the Differential PCI Fault Insertion Switch (model 50-200) which is designed for lower data rate serial interfaces such as CAN and FlexRay, and the High Bandwidth Differential PCI Fault Insertion Switch (model 50-201) which is designed for higher data rate serial interfaces such as AFDX and 1000BaseT Ethernet. Each module allows the introduction of fault connections that include data paths open, data paths shorted together, and data paths shorted to externally applied faults such as power supplies and ground. The software driver defaults to a protective mode where conflicting faults are prevented to avoid accidentally shorting unintended paths, such as power to ground. A separate mode allows complete freedom in setting fault patterns.

The Dual Bus, 74 Channel PXI Fault Insertion switch is part of our family of 2 Amp fault insertion solutions, The range includes modules with 74, 64 or 32 channels and single or dual fault buses. This version has normally closed through relays, so in the default state, there is a path between input and output for all signal channels. It is primarily designed for the simulation of fault conditions in automotive & avionics applications involving the reliability testing of safety critical controllers.

Series HSP -
Kepco, Inc.
The Kepco HSP series provides mission critical power. HSP comprises a group of twelve models, eight 1000 watt power supplies with outputs from 3.3 volts to 125 volts and four 1500 watt power supplies with outputs from 24 volts to 125 volts. All models feature current-sharing for parallel redundant N+1 operation. Models with the or-ing diode, option R, are capable of hot swapping when plugged into Kepco¹s RA 60 series rack adapter. Models with a digital meter, option M, are also available (see photo, right). A mechanical keying scheme allows the user to define which power supply will plug into a specified slot in the housing. Output voltage and current limit settings are adjustable from the panel and may be remotely adjusted.

This PXI Fault Insertion module is designed to simulate common faults on two wire communication interfaces such as CAN Bus. This module supports 4 or 8-channels of two wire serial interfaces. Each channel can simulate an open fault in either or both wires, a short between both wires or a short to one of eight externally applied fault connections, such as a battery connection or ground, via four fault buses. Each channel can support up to 0.3A and is rated to handle up to 100V between the wire pairs. The wire pairs have controlled transmission line impedance suited to most differential pair signalling systems, including fast CAN Bus interfaces and RS232. Each fault bus is capable of carrying 2A allowing multiple channels to be connected to the same fault condition. Additionally, each fault bus features a changeover relay to allow the user to connect alternative fault conditions to the fault buses.

The USB-8501 is a low-speed controller area network (CAN) interface for developing applications with the NI‑XNET driver. The USB‑8501 is powered over the USB bus and does not require external power. It excels in applications requiring real-time, high-speed manipulation of hundreds of CAN frames and signals such as bus monitoring, automation control, and more. The NI‑XNET device‑driven DMA engine enables the onboard processor to move CAN frames and signals between the interface and the user program without CPU interrupts, minimizing message latency and freeing host processor time for processing complex applications. The USB‑8501 is available with a three‑pin COMBICON synchronization connector for triggering and synchronizing the internal hardware timebase with other devices.
