The 68DT1 is a 3U OpenVPX™ board featuring up to 96-Channels of Standard Functionality (SF) DT1 module-type or Enhanced Functionality (EF) DT4 module-type Discrete I/O functions [foptioned, factory configurable].48-Channels are dedicated as input (voltage or contact sensing with programmable, pull-up/pull-down current sources). An additional 24 or 48-Channels are programmable for either input or output (current source, sink, or push-pull) switching up to 500 mA per channel from an applied 3 – 60 V external VCC source (or sink to ISO-GND). The 68DT1 can sense broken input connections and whether an input is shorted to +VCC or to ground. Additional features of the DT4 EF are listed below. Power electronics assemblies often cannot be tested using conventional technology for their electrical performance. Due to the adaptability of the instrumentation, the OTP concept offers an ideal platform even beyond the space requirements of several control cabinets. In order to achieve high test flexibility with different assemblies, the system was equipped with three-phase AC sources and AC loads as well as a precise three-phase power meter. DC sources and loads with different current and voltage ranges cover the test of frequent DUT operating parameters. Time-dependent voltage or current signals can be stimulated by an arbitrary generator with power amplifier. General measurements such as current, voltage, frequency, resistance can be carried out flexibly at various test points using the matrix concept. An oscilloscope with RF multiplexer is available for high-frequency measurements such as residual ripple, switching processes, etc.

The ICE3009 subsystem is an agile filter for the VHF-L, VHF-H and UHF frequency bands. It allows operation of a number of transceivers in a cosite environment. The VHF/UHF Filter provides multiple poles of RF selectivity to reduce broadband noise in transmit mode of operation and to reduce interfering signals at the transceiver’s RF input in receive mode at Have Quick II/IIa and SATURN tuning speeds. This design incorporates a flexible control scheme that can be configured at the factory for various radio interfaces (ARC-210, ARC-231, ARINC 429, etc.). The design is highly integrated and includes all filters, amplifiers, power supply, transmit and receive switching (including a bypass mode), and Built-in-Test (BIT). The ICE3005 is an agile filter/amplifier cascade for the UHF frequency band with a VHF bypass. It enables simultaneous operation of multiple transceivers in a cosite environment and is factory configured for an ARC-210 interface. This filter/amplifier provides multiple poles of RF selectivity to reduce broadband noise, harmonics, and spurious signals while still providing full output power in transmit mode and excellent selectivity to interfering signals at the transceiver’s RF input in receive mode. All transmit, receive, and bypass switching is incorporated into the two-port design. The ICE3005 also includes a separate audio processor circuit that mitigates popping and drop-outs in the R/T audio that are common in hopping or blanked waveforms. The ICE3005 incorporates extensive Built-in-Test capability and is qualified for military applications. A mounting tray is available for easy incorporation on your platform. Its exclusive Adaptive Signal SensingTM technology uses multiple criteria to decide when to switch sources, and adapts to users’ activity patterns, customizing its switching behavior over time. The high bandwidth circuitry accepts HDTV component video (YPbPr), stereo analog audio, and digital audio in both optical and coaxial formats, and switches all audio and video signals simultaneously when a new source becomes active. Digital audio signals are converted automatically to the desired format. Up to four sources may be connected to one receiver/video display system through the 1154A.
