  • UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)

    Allied Edison LLC

The UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) by Allied Edison is a light weight (7.2 lbs), portable, non-variable source that converts  a 12 Vdc Lithium Ion battery to output 110 vac sine wave at 60 hertz. It also has four 12Vdc output jacks, and 4 USB ports to power electronic equipment such as computers or used to supply cell phone chargers, etc. It has a strong built in flashlight. The UPS plugs into a standard 120 Vac, 60 hertz receptacle for charging and indicates percent battery capacity remaining on a digital meter located on the front panel. The UPS can also be charged by a solar cell, sold separately or can be plugged into a vehicles cigarette lighter receptacle for use in remote areas. The UPS is an excellent compliment to the VS-3 power supply where a technician needs a variable AC/DC source and cannot run a power cord due to the remoteness of the work area.

  • DC Electronic Load

Model - KM-mPD-501 - Kusam Electrical Industries Limited

KM-mPD-501 DC electronic load mainly focuses on the testing of power circuit on PCB. KM-mPD-501 offers a solution for function test of Switch step up, Stepdown, Regulators and Driver IC . Engineer puts components, such as CPU, DSP, FPGA; etc on a PCB after the power circuit has been tested. It’s not complete to use a meter to measure the voltage. KM-mPD-501 offers engineer OVP, OCP and OPP functions that help engineer know the value of overload current . On the other hand, engineer can use a programmable DC power supply (mPP series) to offer external power and connect PCB’s output to KM-mPD-501. Then engineer can easily get output watt, figure out the efficiency of power circuit and check if inductances, capacitances and resistances perfectly work with the power circuit. KM-mPD-501 not only offers loading emulation of current but also provides OVP and OPP. User can use these functions to test solar power battery, rechargeable battery and motor driver. In school laboratory, KM-mPD-501 helps students do experiment on power circuit, linear circuit and driver circuit.

  • Gauss Meters

    PCE Instruments

A gauss meter displays electromagnetic wave measurements in Gauss (G), milliGauss (mG), milliTesla (mT) or microTesla (µT) units. A gauss meter can detect either static (DC) permanent (rare-earth) magnetic or dynamic (AC) electromagnetic fields (EMFs), or both. Thus, it is important to review the specifications of a gauss meter prior to purchase to ensure suitability for the intended application.Neodymium (NdFeB) permanent magnets are among the world's strongest and most widely used magnets. When testing magnets made of neodymium or other rare-earth elements, a gaussmeter or magnetometer capable of measuring DC magnetic fields is required. However, most electromagnetic fields encountered are generated by AC currents. Examples include electrical power lines, transformers and wiring for overhead lighting, solar panels and other electrical devices and equipment. Electromagnetic fields from electrical installations are believed to cause feelings of nervousness, anxiety and paranoia in EMF-sensitive human beings. Most gaussmeters offered by PCE Instruments can be calibrated and certified according to DIN ISO 9000 standards for an additional fee. Replacement gaussmeter probes and optional accessories are available for most gaussmeter models.

  • Environmental (Radiation) Monitoring System

    Hawk® EMS - International Medcom

The Hawk® EMS is a wall or tripod-mounted radiation monitoring and alarm system designed for use with the Hawk® Radius dual sensor radiation probe. Each EMS System comes with a Hawk Radius Probe. The system is extremely energy efficient and can run for weeks on an internal 9 volt back-up battery if power fails. It is well suited for operating on a small solar panel, which is an optional accessory. The Hawk® EMS features two displays that show the radiation levels measured by each of the probe’s two detectors: the weatherized “pancake-style” Geiger-Mueller tube — which measures alpha (if configured for it), beta, low energy gamma, and x-radiation — and the energy-compensated gamma tube which measures penetrating gamma dose rate. The probe can be mounted next to the EMS system or outdoors, or in adjacent rooms on cables up to 100 ft in length. Standard cable is 3 meters in length. Optional signal booster can support cable lengths longer than 100 feet. Optionally the system can also be configured to share data on ethernet or wireless networks.
