PA72G16400 -
APPLICOS
The PA72G16400 is a 16-bit arbitrary waveform generator, capable of generating waveforms at speeds up to 400Msps. The high resolution and the high sample rate allows generating signals with very low quantization noise levels. An onboard offset voltage source allows generating offset signals while maintaining optimal utilization of the DAC’s digital range. With the 8MWord of memory, there is lots of room for uploading several different patterns, allowing switching patterns with minimal bus communication.

> MIL-STD-1553B is the military specification defining a digital time division command/response multiplexed databus. The 1553 databus is a dual-redundant, bi-directional, Manchester II encoded databus with a high bit error reliability. All bus communications are controlled and initiated by a main bus controller. Remote terminal devices attached to the bus respond to controller commands. MIL-STD-1553B defines specifications for terminal device operation and coupling, word structure and format, messaging protocol and electrical characteristics.

Yokogawa Test & Measurement Corp.
An optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR) is a precision instrument used to locate events or faults along a fiber link, typically within an optical communications network. The OTDR launches a series of high speed optical pulses into the fiber to be measured. Various events on the fiber generates a Rayleigh back scatter that returns to the OTDR and the strength of the return pulses are measured and integrated as a function of time, and plotted as a function of fiber length. The horizontal axis is the distance and the vertical axis is the loss.
