CTL503

Electron Plus

The CTL503 Curve Tracer is a low-cost transistor (BJT and FET) computer controller curve tracer. Unlike other simple curve tracing units the CTL503 is designed to measure devices to 100V and upto 3A. Four collector resistors (relay selected) allow the user to test the smallest of BJT’s and FET’s as well as extracting meaningful curves from larger TO3/TO247 packaged devices. Limits on both peak test voltage and peak test current can be easily set to prevent exceeding device parameters.Pulse testing (80us/300us) is used to minimise device heating and to ensure the CTL503 can be powered via USB. This may be disabled for smaller parts.Connected and powered via USB and running our own free software the CTL503 is easily configured using a built in wizard (for quick results), or the user can adjust every instrument parameter to suit. The Datexel range of Modbus RTU analog input cards for both RS485 and RS232 with Modbus or ASCII protocol can be combined with the DAT9000 series of Modbus Masters. A choice of input cards or modules are available and have various optional inputs such as Voltage, Current, Thermocouples, RTD, and Resistance. Also a choice of 2, 4, 8 channel options are available. Analog input boards are useful for measuring variably changing conditions in the real world. When we want to measure these variably changing conditions, we need analog inputs to convert these changing real world conditions to changing electrical quantities. For example, monitoring the temperature inside a wood kiln, or the water pressure on the output of a pump, or the heart rate of a medical patient. In each of these cases, you can use one of our analog input devices to convert the electrical data from a sensor or transducer into binary data that can then be used by your computer. The device that converts this data is known as an analog to digital converter (abbreviated ADC, A/D, or A to D). An analog input is a measurable electrical signal with a defined range. The analog input changes continuously in a definable manner in relation to the measured property. This data is very useful for process monitoring, process control, or simple monitoring / data collection and acquisition. The 63200A series high power DC electronic loads are designed for testing a wide range of power conversion products including AC/DC and server power supplies, DC/DC converters, EV batteries, automotive charging stations, and other power electronics components. These units can be synchronously paralleled up to 240kW and dynamically synchronized for generating complex multi-channel transient profiles. The 300% peak overpower capability provides extra headroom for fault condition simulations in automotive batteries, fuel cells, and more. The 63200A series have three operating voltage choices, 150V, 600V & 1,200V, with models covering power levels from 4kW to 24kW and up to 2,000A in a single unit. The DC loads have unique user defined waveform (UDW) capability and external analog modulating input for s imul a t ing re a l-wor ld, cus tom waveforms. HV Rotary Switches

A key feature of our rotary switches is their simple mechanical design which results in conservative stress levels for trouble-free, long life use.  In addition, each rotary switch has a reinforced chassis design utilizing G-10 or G-11 fire retardant anti-tracking coated epoxy glass insulation.  G-7 silicone glass is used for special applications where RF or high temperatures are involved.  Heavy duty contacts, specifically designed to minimize corona in the Ross rotaries, are made of highly conductive yet weld resistant alloy with high contact closing force.  This high force gives our rotary switches high momentary current capability and a reputation for their ability to withstand high shock and vibration as well as other severe environmental conditions.  Ratings to 150kV, to 200A.  When immersed in insulating oil, fluid or gas, the voltage withstand value is at least doubled and the interrupt capability is much greater.  In a gas atmosphere, no modification is required. However, immersion in oil or fluid may require modification in some cases, at an extra cost (optional).  Each unit is either manually or electrically operated.  One SPDT contact is standard on most units.  The auxiliary contact is used as an interlock for protection against "Switching Hot".
