The TideM8 is a black box instrument designed around the same 'winstrument' specification as used in the popular SonarMite portable echo sounder, this design criteria specifies that all display and interactive communications with the instrument use Bluetooth radio technology to communicate with a PC or PDA device. Through extensive experience of tide gauge installation and manufacture the TideM8 design is modular with separate radios, gauge, display and power supply units. This modular design enables the user to configure every combination from a simple gauge and PDA to a gauge and remote display using radio telemetry communications.

The HydroSweep DS is a deep water multiebeam echosounder ideally suited for seabed mapping in deep water up to full ocean depth based on a sonar frequency between 14 kHz to 16 kHz. Beside bathymetric depth information from 10 m to more than 11,000 m, sidescan data and backscatter data for seabed classification are acquired. The HydroSweep DS does not only gather sea floor information, but also uses adaptive bottom tracking windows to identify sonar targets in the water column and can be optionally operated as a parametric sub-bottom profiler without additional transducers and electronics.

SonarMite 'Plus' App
The SonarMite+ App is based on the free SonarMite App but offering additional features. The software is an Android App designed to work with the popular SonarMite Bluetooth Echo Sounder used in hydrographic surveying applications. With the demise of Hyperterminal as a standard terminal application the end user is left with little choice for a simple communications program with serial data devices. Connecting via Bluetooth is cleaner than USB cable, there are no wires and the connection is independent of baud rate and other serial port settings. Most terminal programs are not easily configured with commands to directly interface with instruments such as SonarMite.
