  • IR Sensor

    JonDeTech

The sensor measures a very useful 0.17 mm in thickness and is made of plastic. Essentially it is a piece of robust plastic that can be used “bare” – without protective housing, such as a metal casing commonly used by other producers. The sensor it is less than 0.2 mm. thin and it is made using plastic membrane. This configuration makes the sensor so robust it can be used “bare” – without protective housing such as a metal container. Due to the fact thatSince the sensor chip can be used applied bare, means it can be used in a totally new ways, which can re-defines todays the current view on application design and reduces the cost of the entire system, and not just the sensor-element as such.

  • Sharp GP2Y0A21YK0F IR Distance Sensor 10-80 Cm

    28995 - Parallax Inc.

The Sharp GP2Y0A21YK0F infrared distance measuring sensor uses a beam of infrared light to reflect off an object to measure its distance. Because it uses triangulation of the beam of light to calculate the distance, it is able to provide consistent and reliable readings which are less sensitive to temperature variation or the object’s reflectivity. The sensor outputs an analog voltage corresponding to the distance of the object, and can easily be read using an inexpensive analog to digital converter (ADC) chip.

  • Dual IR and EO Vehicle Situational Awareness Sensor

ThermoVision Dual Sensor (DS) - Teledyne FLIR

The DS camera is a vehicle camera system composed of a thermal camera and a color TV camera. The color TV image can be fused/blended with the IR picture, which is very useful for situational awareness. The driver's vision version of the camera has a 55 or 90 degree field of view (FOV).

  • IR FPA sensors

    Inframet

IR FPA sensors are the most important modules of thermal imagers. Design of sensor electronics (camera core) is a crucial part of designing of new thermal imager. Knowledge of precise parameters of IR FPA sensor is needed by both professionals involved in both IR FPA technology/thermal imagers technology because parameters of IR FPA sensors determine performance limits of thermal imagers. Therefore test equipment that enable measurement of IR FPA sensors is a vital tool for development of both IR FPA technology/thermal imagers technology. It is commonly known that data sheets provided by manufacturers of IR FPA sensors (both cooled or non-cooled) provide too little details for electronics designers. Sometimes the provided data is not accurate enough and better sensor performance can be achieved using modified control signals. Therefore design teams loose sometimes years to develop electronic camera core optimized for a specific IR FPA sensor. When the type of the IR FPA sensor is changed the whole process is to be repeated. In this situation an universal, flexible camera core that would accept IR FPA sensors from different manufacturers and to carry out semi-automatic determination of optimal signal controls for a specific IR FPA sensor would be highly desirable.

  • TV Sensor

    Zimmer and Peacock AS

TV sensors are an all-or-nothing operational device: A TV's IR sensor works if it responds to a properly functioning remote control. You can test an IR sensor on a TV set by checking if the TV responds to commands from an operational remote control designed for the TV set or universal remote control.

  • QTI Sensor

    555-27401 - Parallax Inc.

The QTI Sensor is a close-proximity infrared emitter/receiver that is able to differentiate between a dark surface) with low IR reflectivity) and a light surface (with high IR reflectivity). These little sensors can be very handy for line following, maze navigation, or sensing the outer rim of a SumoBot ring. Wiring options allow it to be used digitally for fast black/white line following, or as an analog sensor to detect different shades of gray. A daylight filter is built into the sensor.
