    Surveillance cameras based on CCD/CMOS/ ICCD/ EMCCD/EBAPS imaging sensors sensitive in visible and near infrared range are widely used in many long range surveillance applications as independent imagers or as part of a bigger multi-sensor surveillance systems. Majority of VIS-NIR cameras are used for day level applications but an increasing number of these cameras is used to enable surveillance in both night and day conditions. In both cases it is important to verify performance of these cameras under varying illumination conditions from very dark nights to ultra bright days. Important missions can fail due to too low sensitivity of VIS-NIR cameras at night conditions (dark, noisy images) or due to too low dynamic at ultra bright day conditions (saturated, blurred images). Next, it is important to use VIS-NIR cameras that generate high quality images in order to achieve maximal effective surveillance ranges.

    Our latest introduction to the DR500 series line is the ferrule end fiber scope which enables the technician to view the end surface of the ferrule with an enhanced image of the fiber core and cladding. With AF-DI-1000* scope attached to the DR500 series OTDR via the side USB port the technician is able to determine the quality of the surface of the ferrule. The fiber scope enables the technician to see scratches, scrapes, dirt or any residual that might be on the ferrules surface area. If desired the fiber end image can be saved and downloaded to the PC for further analysis.

    he mini- spectrometer TF series is a polychromator provided in a compact, thin case that houses optical elements, image sensor, and driver circuit. Spectrum data can be acquired by guiding measurement light into a mini-spectrometer through an optical fiber and transferring the measured results to a PC via the USB connection. The incorporation of a high-sensitivity CMOS image sensor maintains high sensitivity equivalent to that of a CCD and achieves low power consumption. Moreover, the trigger function that can be also used for short-term integration enables spectroscopic measurement of pulse emissions.
