  • Ranging Sensor Heads

    ERAVANT

    Ranging sensor heads are based on FMCW radar principles. These sensor heads are designed and manufactured for long range moving or stationary target measurement. The ranging sensor heads below have an operation frequency of 24.125 GHz and 35 GHz, respectively. The antenna and sensor module are the two major parts in a sensor head assembly. Various antenna types, such as horn, lens corrected and microstrip array, are offered for integration with sensor modules to offer various configuration options for different applications. The sensor modules are configured with a T/R diplexer, a single or I/Q receiver and a transmitter/receiver oscillator in an integrated package. Models with an I/Q receiver can detect the speed, range and direction of moving targets. While catalog models are offered with specific configurations and specifications, custom models are available to meet unique application needs.

    UTC003 - Vadatech Inc

    The VadaTech UTC003 is the most feature-rich MCH (MicroTCA Carrier Hub) for the Conduction Cooled μTCA chassis in the market. It’s management software is based on VadaTech’s proven Carrier Manager and Shelf Manager. The MCMC manages the power modules, the two CU (Cooling Units) and up to 12 AMCs within the μTCA chassis. It also interfaces to and manages the on-board fabric interfaces. The module is available with PCIe, SRIO, 10GbE Layer 3 managed, and GbE Layer 2 managed. The UTC003 runs Linux 2.6 on it’s MCMC CPU and is hot-swappable and fully redundant when used in conjunction with a second instance of the module. The firmware is HPM.1 compliant which allows for ease of upgrade. The UTC003 provides Fabric (100 Mhz HCSL) clock to each AMC.

  • High Voltage Battery Test System

    NH Research, Inc. (NHR) has released the new 9300 series, a higher-voltage / higher-power version of its popular single-channel 9210 series battery test systems. The 9210 Series provided a 12kW power module operating at 40V, 120V, or 600V and which allowed paralleling with similar systems to increase the power, whereas the new 9300 system provides a 100kW power module with a software-selectable high voltage range (1200VDC / 167A) and high-current range (600VDC / 333A) allowing for efficient testing of single-voltage and double-voltage Electric vehicle (EV) batteries as well as high-voltage Energy Storage Systems (ESS) used in grid-tied applications. The 9300 further extends NHR’s family of high-power battery test and emulation capabilities which are ideal for analyzing a battery performance under xEV drive cycles and grid-storage profiles such as PJM and time-shifting profiles. Like the successful 9200 and 9210 systems, the 9300 modules are independent allowing for testing of multiple batteries, each with a different test plan, power levels and start/stop times. When higher power is needed, the 9300 modules may be paralleled providing 200kW, 300kW or up to 1.2MW capability. This modular power capability allows a system to be sized to the power levels needed today while ensuring expansion capability should additional power be needed in the future.
