Pressure/ Vacuum Sensors
There are three different types of pressures that can be measured using Premier Electrosystems' Pressure Sensors: Gauge, Absolute, and Differential. Gauge pressure is the pressure measured relative to the ambient atmospheric pressure.A typical application for a gauge pressure sensor is to measure liquid levels in a vented tank using the difference in hydrostatic pressure and ambient atmospheric pressure. Absolute pressure sensors will give the result relative to zero (a perfect vacuum). This is useful in applications where there is a direct effect of altitude on the pressure being measured. Differential pressure sensors measure the difference in pressure between two points. Differential pressure sensors are often used to monitor airflow in HVAC applications.

DIGISPEC Hall Effect Quadrature Sensors provide two digital output signals, 90º out of phase to each other, detecting speed (down to true zero speed) and direction of rotation of gear teeth and ferrous targets. Gear teeth as small as module 0.10" wide can be sensed. Standard output is provided from a 2.2kOhm internal pull-down resistor to a collector, which can sink 25 mA. Open collector can be provided. The QuadStat is a software-controlled four-channel potentiostat. Each channel can be used as a single three-electrode potentiostat. Alternatively two (bipotentiostat), three, or four working electrodes can be used in a single reaction chamber with a common reference and auxiliary electrode. Potential at each working electrode can be independently adjusted between 2.5 V, or by using an external waveform generator to between 10 V. The QuadStat can measure currents from pico- to milliamperes, making it ideal for amperometric biosensor research including use as a multichannel monitor for in vivo nitric oxide or dissolved oxgen sensors.
