  • Vector Finders with InternalAttenuators

VF-145 LA AND VF-145 LMA - National RF, Inc

The VF-145 LA and LMA models are functionally the same as the VF-145 L and LM on both electrical performance and mechanical specifications. However, the LA and LMA models include an internal PIN diode attenuator that provides up to 12 dB of attenuation (measured at 150 MHz, attenuation decrease slightly as operating frequency increases) to the incoming radio signal. This attenuation occurs after the signal is received by the unit and phase shifted for processing, but before it is placed on the coax feedline to the receiver. In addition, the PIN diode utilized will absorb short burst of RF should transceivers be keyed accidentally by the user. This feature aids in very strong signal DF operations but will not totally guarantee against system overload under very strong RF emissions.

  • GPS/GNSS Anti-Jam Antenna

8230 AJ - Safran Federal Systems

The 8230AJ anti-jam antenna is a high gain (40 dB) GNSS outdoor antenna with a unique conical antenna pattern that rejects interference from the horizon. The antenna rejects signals at lower elevation angles – where most of the interference comes from – and only receives signals from higher elevation angles where the true satellites are. This way, you get all the performance and timing accuracy you would with a standard antenna plus 20 dB or more of interference rejection. It uses a three-stage low noise amplifier, a mid- section SAW, and a tight pre-filter to protect against saturation by high level sub-harmonics and L-band signals. The antenna covers GPS L1, GLONASS L1, BeiDou B1, Galileo E1, and QZSS L1.

  • Directional Acoustic Transponder (DAT)

    Teledyne Marine Benthos

The Benthos Directional Acoustic Transponder (DAT) is anextension to the Teledyne Benthos ATM-900 Series modem, which automatically estimates the azimuthal and vertical arrival angles of a message sent by a remote modem. The system is a modified ultra-short baseline (USBL) which uses a broadband component of a typical modem message to form estimates of arrival angle(s). While conventional USBL devices employ tonal signals, our appropriate processing of wide band signals provides far better combined range and arrival angle estimation, especially at low Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR). Our device offers a clear 360 degree field of view in azimuth, and an approximate vertical coverage spanning + 90º overhead to -50º below horizontal.

  • Functional Systems

    PTE-100 - SEICA SpA

The PTE-100 gives test personnel access to electrical signals for probing, voltage injection, isolation checks, voltage/current and time/frequency measurements, and it offers the ability to analyze hot and loaded circuits, verifying missing, corrupted or present valid signals. Furthermore, the PTE-100 offers the ability to make electrical verification activities more efficient, repeatable and safe, by introducing software controlled test sequences to reduce human errors and guide diagnostic resolution. Break Out Boxes are commonly made in-house and are often specific to a particular project. They are simply designed to multiplex connections between two units and use external instrumentation for signal injection or measurement. The end result is a multitude of tools, difficult to maintain, with limited transportability, providing costly and inefficient operations at the factory or in the field.

  • FD-11634, 8-Channel Sound and Vibration Input Device for FieldDAQ

    786471-01 - NI

The FD-11634 can measure signals from integrated electronic piezoelectric (IEPE) and non-IEPE sensors such as accelerometers, tachometers, and proximity probes. The device also works with smart TEDS sensors, delivers a wide … dynamic range, and incorporates software-selectable AC/DC coupling and IEPE signal conditioning. The input channels simultaneously measure signals and have built-in anti-aliasing filters that adjust to your sample rate. This device is IP65/IP67-rated to be dust-tight and water-submersible and can sustain 100 g shock and 10 g RMS vibration in -40°C to 85°C environments. You program the FD-11634 with NI-DAQmx, which automatically synchronizes multiple FieldDAQ™ devices. When used with NI software, this device can provide processing functionality for condition monitoring such as frequency analysis and order tracking.

  • Electrical High Speed Digitizer

    M8296A - Keysight Technologies

The Keysight M8296A is a four-channel, high-speed electrical digitizer module for the AXIe platform. It can synchronously sample up to four incident waveforms and is ideally suited to digitize the output signals from a dual-polarization coherent receiver. Keysight's vector signal analyzer and optical modulation analyzer software serves as the M8296A's user interface and enables a multitude of test and measurement tasks such as spectral analysis and digital demodulation for the analysis of signal quality metrics like error-vector magnitude. Furthermore, the sampled waveform can be stored and processed with the user's own tools (e.g. using Matlab). The modular approach allows users to combine the M8296A high-speed digitizer with other modules in one mainframe such as the M8292A modular optical modulation analyzer and the M8196A 92 GSa/s arbitrary waveform generator.

  • Radio Telemetry

    Procter & Chester Measurements Ltd

Radio Telemetry: A transmission of data from a remote source via a radio to a receiving station for recording and analysis. Inductance: A contactless method of supplying power to (in this case) a strain gauge bridge. The signal is then transmitted back to the electronics. Slip Ring: Consists of a conductive band mounted on a shaft and is insulated from it. The wheatstone bridge is connected to the bands (usually four off). Fixed brushes or contacts make contact on to the bands to transfer power to the bridge and signal back to the static instrumentation.

  • Sweep Frequency Response Analyzer

    M5400 - Doble Engineering

The M5400 sends an excitation signal into the transformer and measures the returning signals. Comparing this response to baseline readings and results from similar units allows you to identify deviations and confirm internal mechanical problems. The M5400 reduces the uncertainty about apparatus condition by providing solid evidence of mechanical integrity or winding movement. Use it to help determine how a transformer is deteriorating, if it can go back in service after a fault or if it has been damaged during transit.
