CEAST VisualIMPACT software is designed to control CEAST Pendulums and Drop Tower Series, manage tests and offer a user-friendly interface when using the Data Acquisition System. It records force and absorbed energy data related to impacts, visualizes and helps analyze the results and calculates resilience. The operator is guided through parameters setup by means of tables describing strikers and specimens that are filtered according to the test type and international standard selected. In the case of instrumented tests, many possibilities for data analysis and visualization are made available. The results are shown through comprehensive and customizable graphs and can be filtered by break type (only specimens with a selected break type are shown). Working with groups of test, the software performs a statistical analysis, and the operator can pick and discard single test results. Different measurement units can be selected. It is possible to print reports and to export data totally or partially. Recent improvements include the possibility to set a number of user profiles, including graphic settings, default printing options, advanced parameters for data analysis and so on, switching quickly from one another when looking at results. The introduction of a new Data Acquisition System (CEAST DAS 64K) in the Impact product line has also triggered a number of new capabilities for the SW, which is now able to process a more comprehensive calibration file for instrumented tups and hammers and manage DAS configurations with a wider range of data acquisition channels.

G-MIX is an integrated versatile system that can be easily employed to set up countless gaseous mixtures, the gaseous flows are accurately controlled by five MFC (Mass Flow Controller), every MFC has stored inside its memory the calibration tables for 10 different gases. All the hydraulic system has been realized by means of Stainless Steel AISI316 pipes, connectors and valves, this is the best available solution for this kind of applications. The stoichiometric composition of the gaseous mixture can be easily controlled by means of a software, running under Windows, with an intuitive and friendly user interface, the software can be easily installed on a common PC and the communication with G-MIX is possible by means of an USB port. G-MIX can be used as a stand-alone system too, without connecting it to a PC, because every MFC is supplied with a graphic LCD display and with a little user keypad that can be used to set up the gas flow value. The G-MIX system can be used to create gaseous mixtures with a well controlled and known chemical composition, these mixtures can be used in the laboratory to perform countless experiments such the test and/or the calibration of sensors and/or transducers or the characterization of chemical films. The GMIX system is extremely compact and completely enclosed in a hard and smart enclosure of satin aluminum, the interior of the enclosure is brightened by high intensity LED diodes, and it is visible thanks to a clear polycarbonate front panel. The excellent materials used to realize G-MIX allow the use of corrosive and/or toxic gases, providing a reliable and very hard system.

The LS-71P PCI D/A Converter (DAC) board provides high speed analog outputs of PCM decommutated data allowing real time data displays using strip chart recorders or similar devices. The LS-71-P board is designed to be used in conjunction with the Lumistar LS-50-P Multifunction PCM Decommutator boards and uses an over-the-top communication bus directly from the decom to the DAC to avoid any glitches in the analog outputs due to PCI bus activity. Direct “mailbox” type access is also provided to allow the user to send information through the PCI bus to the DACs. The DAC board design allows 2 LS-50-D Multifunction decom boards to be used with a single DAC board allowing tagged data from either data stream to be directed to any DAC channel. An optional LS-71-DB Word Selector Daughterboard allows two additional data streams to be monitored with the ability to select channels from 4 data streams to be displayed on any DAC channel. The design incorporates an extremely large memory (more than 200,000 16-bit words) used as a lookup table allowing linear or non-linear EUconversions with constant delay regardless of the number of polynomial coefficients required. Standard product supports a single decom, however, dual decom support is available as an option.
