The DF-600 Differential Active Probe is a high input impedance and low input capacitance probe. It also supports extremely high frequency bandwidth, and high voltage input. It is designed using three OP amps, namely two FET buffer OP amps and a low offset OP amp. Therefore, even with long-term operations, the measured voltage will not drift. The IS 13341 : 1992 has laid down the requirements for Ageing Test, Self-Healing Test and Destruction Test on Shunt Capacitors of the self healing type for AC Power Systems. The Ageing Test is to be performed at a specified voltage of 1.25 times the rated voltage for 750 hours. The test is to be followed with a repeated discharge cycle test which involves charging of the capacitor to a DC voltage and discharge of the same through an Inductance. Sivananda Electronics has developed this equipment for the benefit of capacitor manufacturers, for the first time in India.

Since the rise time of IGBTs are in the range of a few tens of nanoseconds (between 50ns-200ns), even short cables between PWM motor drives and motors cause voltage doubling at the motor terminals due to Travelling Wave Phenomenon as in transmission lines. The insulation of motor windings are prone to failure due to high voltage spikes if necessary precautions are not sufficiently taken. RC Type Output Filter Modules reduce these high voltage spikes to protect motors by connecting to stator terminals.

The LTC®2992 is a rail-to-rail system monitor that measures current, voltage, and power of two supplies. It features an operating range of 2.7V to 100V and includes a shunt regulator for supplies above 100V. The voltage measurement range of 0V to 100V is independent of the input supply. Two ADCs simultaneously measure each supply’s current. A third ADC monitors the input voltages and four auxiliary external voltages. Each supply’s current and power is added for total system consumption. Minimum and maximum values are stored and an overrange alert with programmable thresholds minimizes the need for software polling. Data is reported via a standard I2C interface. Shutdown mode reduces current consumption to 25μA typically.
