  • Ultrafine Particle Monitor

Model 651 - Teledyne Advanced Pollution Instrumentation

Ultrafine particle (those less than 100nm, or 0.1µm in size) are produced through combustion activities and are persistent in all ambient air. Concentrations of these tiny particle can be very high near emissions sources (for example, near busy roads), and both acute and chronic exposure are believed to lead to health problems. As part of the new US EPA near-road ambient monitoring network, ultrafine particles (UFPs) will be monitored to determine concentration levels and further study health effects related to exposure. The Model 651 Ultrafine Particle Monitor provides a simple and reliable solution for the real time monitoring of UFP concentrations in ambient air. The instrument uses a condensation particle counting technique, using water as the condensing fluid followed by laser detection. UFPs down to 7nm in size are detected, with time resolution down to 1-second. Sample collection, preparation, and analysis occur continuously, with a routine maintenance interval of 30 days.

  • Variable Area Flowmeter and Switches

    Kobold Instruments, Inc.

Flowmeter is ideal for difficult applications requiring high pressure, high temperature operation or low pressure loss. Its all-metal, armored design is available in stainless steel or PTFE-clad stainless steel. Electronic limit switches and/or an analog flow transmitter may be added if desired. Analog output is supplied standard with HART protocol. Profibus-PA and Foundation Fieldbus are also available as an option. Available switches and analog outputs include those that operate via intrinsically safe methods of protection and may be used in hazardous areas where intrinsically safe installations are permitted. Custom designs for high pressure operation, special fittings and special materials of construction are available upon request.

  • Heavy Duty Dynamometers

    MD-7500-HD - Mustang Dynamometer

Today’s Fleet Managers are faced with many challenges – most important of which is maintaining a healthy bottom line. With fuel costs at an all-time high, these challenges have become increasing difficult. Fleets being transitioned from fossil fuels to electric propulsion also face challenges with durability and range to make sure routes can be completed on time each and every day. To help combat these problems and others facing fleet managers today, Mustang Dynamometer offers the MD-7500-HD Series Chassis Dynamometer – which features the most advanced diagnostic capabilities in the industry. The MD-7500-HD is designed to simulate the driving conditions that fleet vehicles encounter on the road every day in a safe and controlled shop floor environment so that critical engine and drivetrain systems can be evaluated to insure vehicles are performing properly and at maximum efficiency. What’s more, the MD-7500-HD offers several levels of testing capabilities in a modular, compact package and with capabilities that can be upgraded in the future as your needs change. Every vehicle in your fleet can now be tested and validated before and after a repair to ensure proper diagnosis and repairs have been performed. In addition to testing repaired vehicles, the MD-7500-HD can be used to test vehicles on a regular basis as a preventative maintenance measure which decreases unexpected breakdowns and allows fleet management to control fuel costs while reducing repair costs. Periodic testing keeps fuel consumption to a minimum and helps technicians identify suspect components before they fail. A proactive approach to Fleet Service can prevent unexpected engine and or drive-train failure which saves organizations thousands of dollars in lost fair revenues. At the heart of the MD-7500-HD is a set of three air-cooled eddy current power absorbers. Each absorber, or brake, can hold up to 600-hp (total power of 1,800-hp) – more than enough to simulate a fully loaded transit bus. As the systems PAU’s (brakes) are air-cooled, no water is required to or from the device – eliminating the high cost of water consumption and/or the cost of an expensive water recovery system – which can sometimes exceed the cost of the dynamometer system itself. Mustang is the only company that offers a Universal Fleet Test Bed without water supply requirements. AC Motors can be added to simulate regeneration and validate range for organizations that have transitioned to carbon free electric propulsion. The 7500 is the best solution for fleet managers looking to improve their bottom line and offer disruption-free public transportation.

  • Digital Pulse Output

ATP Series - Automation Components Inc.

ATP-R converts an analog signal into a digital pulse output signal. The user can select eight standard analog input ranges to the ATP by changing jumper shunt positions. To select the output pulse range, the ATP has an eight position DIP switch. The output pulse is continuous with a one second off between pulses. ATP-R Version 2 operates the same except no pulse output occurs when the analog input falls to, or below 10% of the input signal range. This allows for a true "OFF" setting for solid state relays controlling electric heat. The ATP-T is a Triac Output (24VAC only). You need to contact ACIfor technical asistance when ordering. ATP-Y is a also a Form C Relay Output (24VAC or VDC) with an option of two pulse ouput ranges designed to communicate with York(TM) Chiller Control Packages. Some chiller control panels require a 1-11 or 0-21 second pulse to remotely reset chilled water temperatures.

  • Ocean and River Instruments

RINKO EC (ARO-EC) - JFE Advantech Co., Ltd.

Aquatic eddy covariance method is a powerful technique to measure benthic fluxes. The robust RINKO EC (model name: ARO-EC), as a new member of the RINKO series, is designed for aquatic eddy covariance measurements. The RINKO series is based on the optical (phosphorescence) principle which is now widely known as a remarkably fast response oxygen sensor with high accuracy. The response time of the RINKO EC oxygen sensing foil is less than 0.5 s (90%, from air to water at 25 °C). The foil life-time is more than 200 h, which enables at least 1 week of continuous measurements of dissolved oxygen. Moreover, the foil can be replaced easily by the user. Berg et al. (2016)*, after a detailed evaluation, concluded that RINKO EC is a reliable alternative for aquatic eddy covariance measurements of oxygen fluxes and its high data quality allows for new opportunities for eddy covariance flux studies, including long-term deployments in rivers, streams, and marine environments.
