The EXC-708mPCIe is a multichannel, memory-mapped ARINC 708/453 interface card that supports two ARINC 708/453 channels, each programmable as transmit or receive. Each channel implements a 64K x 16 FIFO and supports polling and/or interrupt driven operation. The card complies with the PCI ExpressTM Mini Card standard. It’s small size and suitability for Mini Card compatible computers make it a complete solution for developing, testing, integrating 708 interfaces and for performing system simulation of the ARINC 708/453 Weather Radar Display databuses, both in the lab and in the field. In Transmit mode, each ARINC 708 word is written to the FIFO as a block of 100 16-bit words. In Receive mode, each ARINC 708 word is stored in the FIFO as a block of 103 16-bit words. The first two words comprise the 32-bit Time Tag, indicating the word’s time stamp. The next 100 words comprise the 1600 bits of the ARINC 708 word, which are followed by the Status Word.The EXC-708mPCIe card comes complete with C drivers including source code.

The Herrin Design Model 1644 Well System Pump Control is designed to provide a cost effective means of controlling water system reservoir levels. Through precise monitoring, the Well Control is able to reliably sense reservoir water levels by measuring water pressure at the well head. By monitoring reservoir levels at the well head, it is possible to mount the water system controls in one location, eliminating the costly communications link--leased lines or buried cables--between reservoir level sensors and the pumps. Typically, mechanical sensors at the reservoir deteriorate or are broken frequently due to weather; and communications lines are a large, continued expense.The Well Control tolerates temporary variations in water pressure due to surges and usage. The pump will not start until there is a constant low pressure level for 2-3 (variable) minutes (OFF TIME). This insures the pumps are activated only when necessary. Once the pump is turned on, it remains on for a preset period of time--up to 24 hours (ON TIME). During the pump cycle, the control does not rely on water pressure measurements to indicate if the reservoir is full. This feature eliminates sporadic pumping due to pressure variations created during the pumping cycle.

An Air Flow Meter measures air velocity as well as air pressure. Depending on the type of application, the Air Flow Meter is made as a hot-wire Air Flow Meter, a vane Air Flow Meter, a cup anemometer, a Pitot tube air flow meter or a pocket weather flow meter, all of which can measure air velocity as well as air pressure. Some can even detect the wind direction. The most common unit of measurement for air flow is m/s.Air Flow Meters are basically mass flow meters, as they determine the air velocity and air pressure by measuring the mass flow of a medium, which is air in this case.The results of measuring the air velocity can be stored in the Air Flow Meter's memory, depending on the model. There are a lot of Air Flow Meters available. The air flow meter is ideal for taking quick or constant measurements including monitoring of ventilation installations, process checking, industrial applications, use in private workshops or by nautical enthusiasts or for other hobbies, etc.At PCE, you can find the right air flow meter to use indoors and outdoors. The VS-10a power supply is a light weight, portable, non-isolated “variable source” from 0 volts to 150 Vac or 0 volts to 150 Vdc and rated for up to 10 amps, thus the name VS-10a. It is comprised of an illuminated voltmeter that reads to the first significant digit, AC variable system output voltage, DC variable system output voltage, logic output voltage and one sense (continuity) contact monitoring points. Banana jacks for connection of test leads are spaced at intervals that allow the use of dual banana test plugs if desired. The VS-10a is protected by two levels of overcurrent protection; AC input, and ground fault protection by a GFCI. All circuitry is housed inside a custom designed case made from 16 gauge steel. An Internal fan dissipates heat buildup and exhaust through louvered side vents built into the case. The carrying handle is designed with a “spring return to rest” position and is padded for comfort. The case has been sized for optimum portability and is balanced from the handle during transportation. The case has a powder coated finish that is scratch, chemical and weather resistant. Rubber padded feet support the case when in the upright position and a convenience receptacle is located on the side of the case.

The ability to magnetically attach the VS-3 near the source of connection and eliminating the need for an extension cord makes the VS-3 a “must have tool” for technicians.
