Digital Optical Transport
The ATX GigaWave digital optical transport portfolio is designed to fortify cable operators with maximum flexibility and cost efficiencies to support a range of applications and business models. The GigaWave Digital Link Extender (DLX) is optimized to support distributed access architectures (DAA), including Remote PHY (R-PHY) and Remote MACPHY (R-MACPHY), as well as Passive Optical Network (PON), Small Cell/5G and enterprise business services. The GigaWave Digital Link Amplifier-HUB (DLA-HUB) is a field-hardened, gain-flattened EDFA platform that enables the elimination of physical hub sites along long-reach optical routes. RF R-PHY Video Engines
ATX’s RF R-PHY video engines provide a mux pass-through function that enables cable operators to maintain existing video encryption functionality on in-service edge QAMs, alleviating the need to migrate encryption functionality to the CCAP video core during early stages of DAA transition.
